• (3 votes) What makes a good boyfriend?
  

  Something I wrote a while back, to copy off of their ^ idea:
  
  I want a boy who would move the hair away from my eyes, and then kiss me,
  Someone who’d hold my hand just to make all the other girls jealous.
  Someone who would sing to me at random moments,
  Who would let me sleep on their chest, and say how cute I was when I woke up.
  I want a boy who would get mad at someone if they called me ugly or was mean to me.
  I want someone who would call me 3 times a day if he went away.
  I want someone who would let me rant to him and would just smile and agree with everything I said.
  He would throw pillows at me when I acted dumb and then KISS ME A MILLION AND ONE TIMES.
  He would make fun of me, just to make me laugh,
  And he would take me to the park and put his arms around my waist and give me bear hugs all the time.
  He would tell his friends about the times we have together and SMILE when he did it.
  And then we’d kiss in the pouring rain.
  He would NEVER be afraid to say, “I love you.” in front of his friends.
  We’d argue about silly things then make up with soft kisses.
  I want a boy that would kiss me at midnight on New Years, and make the promise to stay with me the whole new year.
  I want a boy who would cuddle with me on a quilt to count the stars.
  I want a boy who would love to stay home with me when I was sick, and who would cook me dinner and pick out my favorite movie to watch to make me feel better.
  Someone who would tell me I’m beautiful too often, just to make sure I believed him.
  Someone who would never get tired of my insecurities, and never give up on trying to convince me that I was perfect.
  Someone who would make me laugh like no one else could.
  I want a boy who would buy me a ring on our anniversary, and get down on one knee, as if to propose, just to make a scene.
  I want a boy who would make me mix CD’s of all the songs that remind him of me.
  Someone who wouldn’t be afraid to call my father and ask his permission to date me, without me even knowing he was going to do it.
  I want a boy who would write me a sappy love poem, even if he couldn’t rhyme to save his life.
  I want a boy who would bring the stereo, and serenade me underneath my window with the sweetest song he could muster, and use the pebbles against my window to get my attention.
  I want a boy who would randomly give me massages and rub my stomach, just so he would have an excuse to touch me.
  I want a boy who would pull my shirt down when it starts riding up, instead of the other way around.
  Someone who respects me enough to not EVER push, and
  Someone who loves me. Period.
  
  But mostly,
  I want a guy who would be my best friend and would never break my heart.

  You realized something that most girls don’t know already. No one CAN truly love you if you don’t love yourself. So you’re already a step ahead, mentally.
  
  I know this might not help, but wanting your face to be different won’t really help anything, will it?
  Is there anything about your appearance that you DO like? If so, focus on that when looking in the mirror. If not, then find something. If you can’t find ANYTHING at ALL, then you really need to ask yourself why whatever it is is wrong IS wrong. If you get what I mean.
  For example, why do you think your ears are so weird? Is it because you compare them to other people’s who are “normal?
  
  My advice to you, honey, is just to learn to love who you are, and know nothing short of a few thousand dollars will ever change that, so you might as well get over it and love who you are anyway. And then, someone else just might fall in love with you, too.

  Wow… this is so maddeningly wonderful, yet so delightfully depressing.
  It’s very good writing.
  
  But I know that beautiful words are no solace or comfort to a broken heart.
  So, good luck. And know that if she can’t see you for who you are, the amazing, loving, kind soul you prove yourself to be, then she isn’t worth it. Though I’m sure that doesn’t help much either.

  I meant Ash. I thought I had read something about you two breaking up, but I didn’t remember the details. I know what happened with Brittany, that was the major thing in all your posts for the longest time. lol
  What are you attempting to get your Ph.D. in?
  I’m going to the University of Arkansas in my hometown. I’ve grown up here near campus, so I’ve always wanted to graduate from here and have my name on the senior walk. So I’m pretty excited.
  
  I’m still not sure if it was love. When I was with him, I was completely sure it was. I told him I loved him and everything. It was only when I got back to AR to Eric that I started to question it.
  I think, though, that I’m going to stay with Eric no matter what. Before we left, things were good, but it was mostly cause I was ignoring the long-term issues we were having, like his lack of motivation and *ahem* sexual prowess. But ever since I’ve gotten back and I told him about Tylor (that’s the Louisiana’s guy’s name) he’s actually been making an effort. We’ve worked out most of our long-term issues (I hope you know what I mean by that, though you might not) and he’s actually admitting he needs to learn how to please my body better. I’ve already taught him some things, so our sex life has already dramatically improved. ;) So, we’re pretty much perfect right now. Tylor still pops up in my mind every now and then, especially when a song that reminds me of him plays on the radio, but for the most part, I’m content that I’m with Eric and not with Tylor. Tylor is better in a few ways, but I’ve been with Eric longer and I’m more secure in the relationship with him then I was with Tylor.

  I’ve been alright for the most part too. I’m still with my dream man, though we’ve been hitting a rough patch lately. I went away to Louisiana for the summer to work to make money before college this fall, and I met someone while I was there. Someone who I think I fell in love with. Its quite complicated, actually. I’m still not sure how I feel, really, I’ve only been back for a week. I might write a post about it, I’m still deciding what I really want advice about, or how to ask for help.
  So whatever happened between you and that girl? I hope you know who I’m talking about. I vaguely remember reading something about it, but I don’t remember what.
