There’s an interesting masters offered in cyberpsychology that I am thinking of doing. Basically how people interact with machines, specifically with the internet!

I don’t mind answering! Psychology is quite a broad topic, at undergraduate level you don’t really study any particular type. It’s more so at post graduate level that you specialise! At the moment were studying all sorts of different fields at a very basic level. And yes, I really like it!

Robots doing the work wasn’t quite the main topic, more so the ethical implications of forcing potentially intelligent robots into slavery was what we were discussing! Interesting topic to say the least.

It’s quite cool isn’t it? We had a lecture on A.I. today, this was a cool example she provided us with current day technology. It’s kind of creepy what is expected to come in the next 3 decades or so!

Well I use the term programming quite loosely. We learn a reasonable amount of Adobe Flash, a very basic code. We touched on C++ also, only barely though. And obviously the basic HTML coding, that hardly counts though.

It’s quite interesting. Basically a robot you can talk to. It’s far from perfect, still interesting though. I only just found out about it today, I’m messing about with it now.

Yeah? We do basic programming aswell, I think most people do programming, we have to learn supposedly the hardest programming code around, it is assembler code, it is for microprocessors, so I am looking forward to it, as I like a good challenge.

Programming is fun if your into it, absolutely awful it your not. We do quite basic levels of it and I love it.

Yeah, you see 70 is theory and 30 is practical, I am looking forward till after christmas when we have Computer Programming.

Well it’s difficult to like 100% of anything, 80/20 is doing quite well!

I am, I like most concepts of it, but yet I don’t like the whole lot … at the moment it is 80/20. I love the theory but I don’t like the labs.

yep, I am in second year, everything is going good so far, it is difficult at times but that goes without saying!

OK, met new people, got accustomed to the college, but some of the stuff was not very well prepared for a college that deals with IT a lot they aren’t excellent at it, it was a bit old fashioned but not bad, I must say, some of them explained things brilliantly, others didn’t!

How did you get on with your orientation?
