  This is a tricky one, also read the Vampire Lestat By Anne Rice - I read it recently and it goes on about the exact same questions… It’s very interesting question and I am by no means daft but it is a bit hard to answer, this one.
  
  What it boils down to is you have free will between good/ bad, i.e concepts of heavan or concepts of hell, but then the Catholic doctrine goes on to say that this makes no difference as your spiritual path is determined for you anyway??? How, Why?
  
  In that case there is no choice and therefore no free will.
  
  Next I look at Dante - The divine comedy, that goes further and shows specific choices between virtue and vice, which have their own corresponding punishments or rewards. I think of this in a physical form - heavan/ hell on earth. We have free will to choose that - but sometimes we don’t feel as if we are making choices - we are victims of circumstance.
  
  Ha! Look then to Nicolo Machiavelli and the Prince. ‘Vir Virtus’ the ‘Mannly Man’ or the virtuous man - self serving he has ability to make heavan or hell for himself on this earth - therefore he has free will!!! Surley then in heavan he has the same choice. But!! There is a third Variable - and that is Fortune - Luck, whatever you call it Chaos, Chance, God, The Devil - these are circumstances OUTSIDE our control.
  
  We have no free will over the winds and tides of the sea of Fortune. Yet we can learn to pilot the ship properly across it. We can make good or bad decisions with our navigation.
  
  So in conclusion… We have no free will over Fortune, fate etc but we can choose how we react to it, this choice may be good or bad, in doing so we affect our own fortune, which brings us either pleasure or displeasure, heavan or hell… depending on how you look at it.
  
  Finally remember, one man (or woman’s) vice is another’s virtue

  Yeah - fair one That is the other perspective - perhaps you should go - Maybee you should do what your heart tells you. I bet you can’t get good fish n’ chips there though!!!

  Personally, I would stay in the UK.
  
  Whilst a life in USA may seem glamorous, better, etc. Over here you have your family friends, etc. etc. healthcare, fish and chips, you name it. If you go to the USA chasin’ after your ex - then you are goina cause yourself pain and hurt your kids.
  
  Plus there is no reason why you can’t start a business over here, and then if it does fail, then you have the dole, benefits to fall back on whilst you get another job.
  
  All that stuff about gangs, etc - it usually quite isolated - media scaremongering. Its actually worse in the USA.
  
  given what you say, and cause I am proud of being English (And without a wish to insult our Brothers and sisters from the good old’ USA) I would have to say I would stay in England

  Depression and social anxiety disorder are different - an effect of social anxiety disorder is that it can cause depression.
  
  The diagnosis of Social Anxiety Disorder is that you have negative thoughts about yourself/ your self worth in relation to the perceptions of others that inhibits your own social functioning.
  
  Like anything it is more difficult to talk yourself out of it - I spend a lot of time doing that - but it doesn’t work.
  
  I just posted a piece about meds etc that may help - but it has been blocked awwaiting approval
