2008-06-12 13:48:28 on I’ve been looking for a job for about 4-5 months now and still nothing, The only job I do have is looking for a job and that is full time.
When starting out looking for a job, you can’t always get the career job of choice right off the bat, as you have experienced. go get a job that will hire you right away, I know that it sucks but you meet a lot of people working at fast food. mcdonalds usually starts out at a very good wage for competent people, I have seen them offer my 17 year old daughter $9.00 an hour, because she is dependable. also, there is management training at McDonalds, which really will look good on a resume. what ladyPheonix suggested is also a good suggestion. the Temp agencies are really good. try Kelly Girl. they are very well known and a lot of companies will only hire through them, temp to perm, for example: Microsoft in washington state. I myself would prefer fast food over retail, because retail seems so boring! anyway, I really like the temp job idea. even though your going to a different job each time, you still work for the same company. which is awesome on your resume. you get paid by the temp service and even get benefits from the service. hopefully this helps
