Aww, Isis is cute. The best cat I ever had was called Starsky. I loved that little bundle of fur. But he loved cars, including getting under them to show his love. He got knocked over once and had metal plates in his leg, second time was fatal, poor thing. Pure white (but not deaf which is unusual). Isis looks like my Angel who died of cancer about 3 years ago. Ah I love cats, and little dogs. :)

Yeah I get that. I hope to move over one day from elected official to ‘professional’ emplyed by the union. But I need a couple of years experience yet. I have yet to call my first ’strike’ but I am close to it this week. The other union have contacted me to try and solve it before it goes that way, it should be interesting. I go to Birmingham on Sunday though, so it will have to wait till (mon night) Tues when I get back.

Matt, totally I have my fingers crosed for you. If you are socialist and like things like charity work, then you should also consider union work. Some people are elected (like myself) but unions also emply ‘professional’ trade unionists. There is even a wualification in industrial relations. Wages are good. I get adverts through for 30-40 grand. They are people employed by the unions to adivse on the contracts and relations with Government. it can be very rewarding, very intersting and also pay well. They are always poaching professional union emplyees between each union and the TUC as they are highly regarded. Just a thought anyway. Good luck, let me know how it goes. :)

Fine really, just working really hard at the moment. I’ve run a two day course for teachers this week and in some negotiations with another union before i go to industrial action, so it’s all go.

Now just trying to unwind and catch up with all my friends. What type of jobs are you applying for?
