Sure hope the process doesn’t take long–and you’re right about my lack of patience! I need to go fishing or something like that to build up some more!

I am really glad for you! I am sure it is a feeling of liberation! Just remember that it was not YOU–it was all about him and his character flaws! I’ve been on the phone most of the day to the UK, straighening out chivalric matters! The immigration lawyer submitted my file to the gov’t., but we’re looking at returning to the US because I want to start working again soon!

When I told him about how I feel he played the offended one and wanted to leave me. I am sure he is emailing to females he picks up on one of those discussing forums you are talking about. When I asked him if he emailed them he denied it yet I found out he did. Why does he need to have all these women am I not enough for him? What shall I do?

If he is making “passes” at women on the Internet, as opposed to merely discussing things in open forums, then I’d drop him. I had a good female friend whose husband trolled for women nightly on the computer. That destroyed their marriage. But it’s really his intent . . . if he’s “looking” for women on the Internet, or really engaging in flirtatious behavior, that’s a real danger signal. I would advise telling him that this is disturbing you. If he really cares about you, he’ll stop doing things to hurt you or make you suspicious! I don’t know why people have to engage in behaviors that make their spouses or significant others really doubt them!

Thanks! That’s encouraging! My immigration lawyers seem to move at a glacial pace, however. By the way, we went to Quebec and had a great time in Quebec City! We just missed the Paul McCartney concert; didn’t know about it until we were already there. I really like Quebec! Will have to visit the other provinces soon. Hey, I did get your message about the publishing stuff. I did check it out. I always hesitate when they ask for my phone number. I really don’t like people calling me. Plus somehow, whenever I put my phone number into these sites it gets passed on. The other stuff that I saw them have on the site wanted you to buy packages around $200 and I don’t have that type of money.

It’s unbelievable what is required for immigration. Our respective governments are nuts. But it’s easier to immigrate to the US than to Canada. In the US, you can start working in a relatively short time. But not in Canada. But I think Canada is one great country. It has so many things going for it! I know that I would be very proud to have dual citizenship!

Visited the local RCMP office today to get a new set of fingerprints. Very nice folks here. We did them the old-fashioned way this time–with real ink and paper. This is the last “paperwork” that should be required. That reminds me–I used to watch “Sergeant Preston of the Yukon” when I was a kid. I was always amazed to see the fake snow on Sgt. Preston’s coat that never melted, regardless of how long he sat by the fire!

A 1992 Saab! It needed some maintenance! With this latest repair, it should be good for another 2 - 3 years. I’d like to have a new car sometime . . . but first must find a job here in Canada (not easy due to Canadian immigration laws). Will try to retrieve it next week . . . gives me another excuse to return to Niagara!

Was trapped in Niagara Falls! Car broke down . . . it’s still there! Must retrieve it next week after all parts have arrived at the dealer. Hope to see a play at Niagara-on-the-Lake next Saturday!

I’m hanging in there. I went to a funeral last week for my brother-in-law in the States. He died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. We had hunted together for years. He had a really rough time, e.g., he and his wife had gone for marital counseling, but the pastor ended up having an affair with the wife. After my brother-in-law brought a lawsuit against him, the pastor committed suicide. One big Greek tragedy. The brother-in-law’s ashes were interred on the land where we hunted a lot. Yes–definitely kind of down at the moment!

So far, so good. The daughter is finishing up some “makeup” work for school. She seems to be on a fairly even keel. Her time management skills definitely need some work, however! I remember that someone once said, “Having a teenage daughter is like being pecked to death by a chicken!”

Thank you for all of the kind words! We try to make the world a better place–and all too often find our very own “castles” besieged! I think we all have an obligation, though, to make this world a better place . . . starting with our own homes and family! ;-)
