Hey there, you are asking for opinions and mine is that he is not telling you the truth! I mean ofcourse he is going to tell you sweet talk and all that, and he will never tell you anything really bad about himself, he’ll try to make you feel like you’re the only one in the world for him.

You have to think about it with your head and not with your heart. Because trusting someone whom you don’t know is dangerous, just be careful whatever you do. And let friends know what you are doing so you’ll have a good advice from them.

I don’t want to sound so disencouraging but really best people you know are those you know by person.
