  I know it is scarry! You just opened your eyes and what did you see? The real world! It sucks, but you have your whole life ahead of you now with open eyes. That’s the best way to go. You are already looking for the answers only you can supply. You are unique, you are special, and you do deserve to be who you want to be. If you don’t know what that is right now, that’s ok. I was 41 when I finally realized what I was to do in life, and it was worth the wait. I felt my way through and didn’t let others tell me what to do. Listen to that voice inside telling you who you are. Then follow what you like to do. It may take time to educate yourself or find what you want, but so what. There is no time limit is there? lol I know some 80 year olds just finding themselves cuz all they did was to listen to others instead of themself. That’s that best advice I could give anyone at this point. Good luck!

  Unfortunately we can’t make someone like us or fall in love with us. And sometimes we are on the reverse end. But I believe that if it were meant to happen, it will. It’s just whether or not to continue to pursue her or just let it go. Which is more stressful for you? Which is healthier for you? Can you focus on that she just isn’t in the same place as you at this time and you need to find someone else who is. I don’t know. That is a big question that you just live and learn from. What is it about her that makes you feel good? What do you think she can do for you that other women can’t? Maybe if you can figure that out, you know what to look for in other women. That would make life a whole lot easier, don’t you think?

  Thanks for your reply. I know I am a good person. It is validated everyday I go to work. My patients love me and I really help them and when I see them doing better and smiling, I know I have made a difference. I work in a Psych ward and I love it. I make too much money to get help, and not enough to get me out of this hole. I make enough, but because I had a set back, recovery seems doubtful without help.
  I am 41, my son will be 13 on Thursday (I am so depressed I can’t give him anything or do something special for his birthday). I work full time as a recreational therapist, which again, I love and am so greatful for. I am looking for a part time job that fits my schedule, but havn’t found one yet and I am aggressively seeking, just my hours at full time job aren’t compatable to what I have found so far. My son and I are hungry, but we have some food to last us a couple more days.
  The stress is starting to affect my job and I don’t like that. Patients notice everything and are concerned. I don’t want them to be, but it shows on my face, I can’t hide it anymore, it’s too exhausting.
  Oh, I live in Maryland, USA.

  Sounds horrible. I was on my own when I had my son. Also by a married man (whom I didn’t know was married) and he wanted me to have an abortion too. He has yet to voluntarily see my son. He met him twice by “accident”. But that’s all the contact he has had with him. Sometimes it is a blessing for the men not to take responsibility, but not always. I went for child support after my son was born. I had to wait one year before I even saw a penny. The only suggestion I have for you is to find a lawyer and get all prepared so you can file the day he/she is born. Then you will atleast have some financial relief sooner. Sorry I can’t be of much help. I wish you luck.

  Well, I am somewhat in the same spot. I am a single mom who has too bad of credit to get help. The bills I have can’t be consolidated. I make too much for assistance so I can’t get any help elsewhere. So, why don’t we get together and share expenses! lol jk I don’t know what to tell you. Noone has even responded to my post. Oh well. Good luck, will keep you in my prayers.
