  I have a very good friend from back home who has the same problem as you. The anger and frustration you’re feeling is your desire for a future with this boy. You want this relationship to become something important further in your life, but you need a boyfriend who wants the same future you do.
  
  You need to sit him down and tell him what you need in your life. You need to tell him that you equate his care for you, with his care for his own future.
  
  How old are the two of you? What kind of prospects does he have? What possibilities are open to him?
  
  Make him care about his future, because you want it to be both of your futures.

  So this appears like it might be one of those posts that drag me in and take over my life for 24 hours until I eventually snap out of it and shut of my computer, but I’m going to partake anyway. I’m doing so because it is an important debate, one that must be reasonable and respectful.
  
  Unfortunately, it seems that most of the people I argue with about this are neither reasonable, nor respectful. I live in DC and was witness to the “9/12″ rally. I have to admit, that I have never been witness to so many hysterical people who had absolutely no unifying goal. Some wanted to kill the health care bill, others wanted to throw the President in Gitmo, and others wanted to overthrow the government. Over all the noise, the only thing I could find unifying them was their shared desire to force dying people into bankruptcy.
  
  Of course, I probably would probably take the other side’s arguments a little more seriously if their rallies didn’t look so much like a white supremacist rally. Seriously, the minorities within that protest were the ones who only made $200,000 a year, only brought 3 guns and were a slightly darker shade of “moonlight” white than the others. And even then I could see the majoring of the rally trying to come up with a way to unjustly discriminate against them.
  
  Anyway, why are they against the health care reform? Because they aren’t the ones the reform will be helping. Because it’s easier for some people to listen to the delightfully inaccurate rants of extremists on youtube rather than read the bill themselves.
  
  “Ohhhh, but its hundreds of pages and I don’t wanna reead that much!”
  “Then shut the f!@# up”
  
  *If you actually read the bill, you’ll see that it is in fact “an option” and not mandated.
  *There is nothing in the bill that allows illegal immigrants to get health insurance. (even though some of us do feel there should be)
  *There is nothing in the bill that allocates money for abortions (even though some of us do feel there should be)
  *There is nothing in the bill that creates panels to decide when the elderly will die.
  
  If you’re a fan of the truth, than read the bill. If your a fan of Glenn Beck, keep living in your paranoid delusion and enjoy being wrong.

  At first when I read these stories, I thought to myself:

  And than I realized, these stories aren’t about the economy. They are a testament to the selfish mind that says “This is mine, I worked for it and I’m not letting it go, no matter who I’m helping”.
  
  I come from a wealthy family, and I understand the frustration that comes with higher taxes. But I always understand, that it is my duty as an American to allow others to have the same basic freedom I have: to hope.

  Ell, I have to say, hearing your story told out like this makes me that much happier to be your friend. I’m sure everyone else is going to tell you that you can be vulnerable here, and I’m not going to argue with that or repeat it.
  
  Honestly though, I think you’re looking at this the wrong way. Nobody should ever ask themselves “when is it ok to be vulnerable?” This comes from the years you went through with untrustworthy people around you. What you need to be focusing on is getting yourself to the point where its natural to ask yourself “when should I keep my guard up?”
  
  With how you’re life has been, it is understandable that you’d feel guarded around your friends and Andy. But it is time to talk! After a while talking with anyone, trust builds and you’ll see that there are some really good friends out there.
  
  You’re a wonderfully strong person, a funny girl, and a good friend, and just because there have been some screwed up people in you’re life, shouldn’t effect actually living it.

  lol I know what you’re thinking, but she actually never came. I was feeling sad this weekend because all my plans were canceled this weekend I was left alone for 3 days with a great deal of alcohol.

  lol I’m quite something. Been through half a handle of rum, and yet my writing is quite spectacular.
  
  If anyone else would like to share their thoughts on the comfort of hugs, I don’t think it is at all a waste of time to talk about the simple comforts of life.

  I like those movies too, but I’ve always been entertained by older movies. For some reason I just found comfort and entertainment in the original and complex story lines.
  
  If you feel like broadening your horizons, try “The Sting”. Robert Redford and the late Paul Newman, in the most entertaining storyline I’ve ever seen. My all time favorite movie.
