lol I know what you’re thinking, but she actually never came. I was feeling sad this weekend because all my plans were canceled this weekend I was left alone for 3 days with a great deal of alcohol.

I was just lonely and felt like a hug lol.

lol I’m quite something. Been through half a handle of rum, and yet my writing is quite spectacular.

If anyone else would like to share their thoughts on the comfort of hugs, I don’t think it is at all a waste of time to talk about the simple comforts of life.

Well put lol. It just seems strange that such a small physical act can offer such wonderful emotional comfort.

I like those movies too, but I’ve always been entertained by older movies. For some reason I just found comfort and entertainment in the original and complex story lines.

If you feel like broadening your horizons, try “The Sting”. Robert Redford and the late Paul Newman, in the most entertaining storyline I’ve ever seen. My all time favorite movie.

I can absolutely understand that. When I drink I’m inevitably sad, and for some reason I thought to myself, I could really use a hug.

I don’t know if it is an indication of spiritual significance, biological mandate, psychological insight, but I think it is an existential issue that should be acknowledged. That, if we find within ourselves a sadness caused by ourselves - by our own minds and hearts - that the only refuge we can seek is within the arms of someone else. We need other people, despite the negative impact they often have, they are the only people who can save us from ourselves.

lol well as long as I’m being counted on some level, cause you’re a very important person to me.

I honestly think that it’s just the way people are. I mean, I think I’m a pretty nice and friendly person, but I’ve been at this school for 3 years now and I don’t have a single friend. I spend every night by myself, and I’ve had to learn to live with it.

Eventually though, you’ll meet someone whose personality is conducive to having other friends. Someone who is open and looking for it, and believe me love, you’ll “wow” them.

Until that time though, I want you to email me whenever you can. I get emails and msn on my phone now, so I can check them when I have a wifi connection. You’re incredible darling, you’ll get through this just fine, and you’ll find the right people eventually.

I’d notice. I check my email 10 times a day to see if I have anything from you. I worry about you when I don’t hear from you and do my best not to annoy you with my own problems lol. You are by and large the best friend I have and I promise i’ll do everyting I cam to get over there. I know your talking about friends and people you see everyday, but I want you to know that if you disappeared I’d come looking for you hon.

There is a metaphysical school of thought that discusses how we might KNOW God, and not just accept that there is a god based on faith. The proof that I always found most compelling is called the “First Efficient Cause”.

This is going to be a little confusing since it often takes months simply to understand the vocabulary of Metaphysics.

It is essential that we must accept the old philosophical law called “The Law of Non-contradiction”. This is a basic rational that says that thing cannot be both something and not something, at the same time and in the same way.

In plain terms, I cannot be both good and not good at the same time and in the same way. I cannot be both true and not true at the same time and in the same way. And more importantly for our discussion, I cannot both exist and not exist at the same time, and in the same way.

Before I continue, let me know if that made sense and whether something needs to be clarified.
