  None of the above suggestions will work. Pummeling, creams, cardio, etc. will not work. You see models and actresses with cellulite who are rail thin and can afford the best creams and massages in the world, so why do they still have cellulite? Because those things don’t work. I used to have cellulite on the back of my legs as a teenager, even though I ran regularly and had little body fat. You want to know what did the trick? Strength training. Full body, weighted exercises like barbell squats, deadlifts, lunges, step ups, knee tucks, squat jumps, etc. You need to build up the muscle there. Cellulite is fat packed and trapped in a honeycomb-like configuration. In order to get rid of it, you need to break up the honeycomb. Maybe it’s the boost in testosterone and harder muscle strength training gives you, but for some reason it gets rid of cellulite like nothing else. After a couple of months of training the backs of my legs were completely smooth. I stopped training for a couple of years and the cellulite slowly came back. When I picked up strength training again, the cellulite again vanished. Even though I’ve been at higher fat levels than I was as a constantly-dieting teenager, as long as I was strength training my legs were smooth. If you want to get rid of cellulite, this is what you need to do. A clean diet low in saturated fat helps as well.

  Hey Jonathon, if you’re very overweight it is possible for you to lose three to four pounds a week. Two pounds a week is recommended for most people, with the following rationale:
  
  There are 3500 calories in one pound. To lose two pounds in one week you’d have to burn 1000 more calories than you consume for each day of the week. A 1000 calorie deficit is not quite as bad as it sounds if you’re willing to exercise. For instance, 1 hour of jump rope can burn between 600 and 800 calories per hour, and you would only have to consume around 300 calories less to make up the difference of 1000. Unfortunately, most people are not willing to exercise; they would rather starve themselves, thinking this will yield faster results with the least amount of effort. The problem with this approach is that, even if one were able to eat 1000 calories less each day (and many find they easily can, actually), eventually such a diet would cause you to lose as much muscle as fat. So someone who wishes to reduce from 180 pounds to 130 might get there through starvation and find that they are still quite fat. This person will also find that she now has to work very hard to lose whatever fat is left, as her metabolism will be significantly slower, and her skin will appear very ‘loose’ because it has little muscle underneath to support it. She will also have less energy and be less motivated, and will likely regain most if not more than the weight she lost — but this time it will all be fat. The answer is, of course, to exercise a lot (STRENGTH TRAINING), rather than starve yourself.
  
  Don’t forget that the kid on MTV will have lost a lot of water weight during that first month; 10-15 pounds. If you’re trying to lose weight, I think luck is on your side; men always seem to lose weight much more quickly than women, and they keep it off. I think men can adhere to a new routine better.

  Yes, I would be so grateful to have a friend who not only isn’t afraid to show she loves me, but who is thoughtful enough to reassure me of its unconditional nature, as you did. Your friend may already suspect that you have feelings for her, and maybe she is nervous by it; what’s nice about this poem is that, after explaining *your* feelings, you address what *she* might be fearing (pressure from you), in a direct and understanding way. This poem says, “I love you, and that’s all.” Who wouldn’t want to receive a poem like that?
  
  To whoever said this poem is trite; what love poem isn’t trite? I don’t think the words here matter, it’s the fact that it’s a poem written from a friend to a friend. It’s simple, honest and heartfelt.

  I would guess you’re 16-17, but that sort of eye makeup is what 35 year old expired women wear when they’re TRYING to look 16-17. Trust me, wear a more natural makeup look or go bare. You’ll attract a better sort of guy that way too, believe me.

  If I read one more post about guys ’staring’, but then dropping their eyes… guys who are always ‘rejecting’ other girls and hugging you only, yet acting hot and then cold.. Oh god, the drama. If both of you are playing games and acting disinterested, how can you possibly have the nerve to wonder what’s going on? SOMEBODY must make the first move and, believe it or not, there’s no law stating that’s the guy’s job. When did kids get so EMO these days?

  It depends on the person. I sleep better on 6.5-7 hours. I feel much more refreshed and alert throughout the day. If I get 8 or more hours of sleep, I wake up with puffy eyes and usually a headache, I’m slow to feel alert in the morning and around the afternoon I’m tired again. If you’re a teenager you SHOULD get 8-9 hours of sleep, however. I’m 24.
