I have had a bit of thinking to do lately about myself.
I have to go tomorrow for a final round of tests for medical reasons.
I dont wish to talk about it to anyone who is not here close to me.
I would like you to help me further with the other website. Are you interested?

I think it safe enough to talk on here, the idea behind our website is that it doesn’t try to replace this one.
My idea on it’s construction is as follows.
It is a place to go to when this one is not working as it should or as an alternative when one needs to rest from here.
There is enough facility for people to talk to each other, through one or all of it’s mediums.
I am a great believer in getting people to do things for themselves.
Thus the abilitty to make up your own part of it as you want it. Or keep it as it’s been designed by me.
To be able to add music, photos, video, poems, drawings etc. Or to be able to use other peoples, that dont mind their stuff being shared by every one else.
As you know, you can be as public or keep your own part as private as you want it to be.
Still have the abillity to make friends and groups. With others, with the same sorts of interests.
Being able to add any number of widgets to your own pages of the site.
The scope of it, is quite big. I have not tried to hide the fact that any one can make their own website, for free. If they can make their own pages up on the website. They can make their own website. It is that easy, when a person has got used to using it.
I dont want a duplicate of help com, help com tends to keep people stuck with their problems.
I dont mind helping people, I much prefere to get them to help theirselves more.

If you want to ask others to join, feel free to do so. I will not be arround much for the next few days or even longer. I have to have tests done over the next few days at least. perhaps even longer

You can invite him if you want to. As long as you vouch for him it’s OK with me. Please do it through e-mail though. I dont want it getting out to some on here, who purposely read other peoples shouts. Because they have nothing better to do.

The vidoes are easy, you just click on videos across the top. then follow the instructions, as you did the photos. The music is a bit different, will tell you about it when you are ready. Uploading videos can take a long time, if they are the wrong type for the flash video pler it will convert them for you.

Well, work allowing, I shall try to log in every day. I may need help in uploading a video or music, as I haven’t done that before. but the photo upload was incredibly easy to use, I liked it.

I have seen them all. We will wait a little while before inviting to many people.
The second person that joined found it on their own, somehow. Accepted him, but I know nothing about him.
You need some music and a video or two. They take so long to upload though. It was nice to see you there.

I enjoyed the site. I uploaded photos and made a blog entry, really enjoyed it actually. Now we just need more people…Thanks for the invite Thepp. :)

I am ok, been messing about with one of those free websites I told you about. It’s quite hard to understand how it works to start of with.
I might have found another site to go to, when this one shudders to a halt again.

If you want me to spread out some advertising, that’s not a problem, it will only cost me the ink to print them out. And I can bear that. The travel is on the company!

OK, thanks for wanting to help. I will get in touch as soon as I know for sure it is all going to work out fine.
Another user I have spoken to, wants the new site to be less depressing and more about sharing art and stuff like that. Others I have talked to want different things.
I think I will be concentrating more on a simmilar to this one.
I will let you know when I know more myself.

In all seriousness, people are always looking for a good site like this. Posts are made on it every day. And there are a lot of people here who would like it too.

I’ll do what I can to promote it. What about making up some little A5 flyers on the computer and emailing it to people? I travel all over the country and could leave it in staffrooms and offices all over the country. I’ve been to London, Birmingham and Wigan just since September and off to Nottingham tomorrow. I’ll be in Bournemouth, Greater London, Birmingham (again) and Leeds before Easter.

If you do the flyer and email it, I’ll spread it around. Anyway, that is just one idea, and it may not be the way you want to do it. But just a thought.

I’m OK, that website is coming on alright as well.
It is hosting it that is causing me problems mostly.
I’m still hoping to have it up by Christmas.
I have some hospital tests and stuff over the next few weeks. So that will take time of for finishing the website.
Still a bit of a problem with spending a lot of money and it being a flop.
