Hi. Oh I know the Cap’n probably deserved to be banned, and I know he can cause trouble. He also has a bad sense of humour that is often a problem for both him and others. He knows that, yet still does it. So it’s his own fault. However, that wasn’t my point last night.

Anubis I hope you have something left to say. Your advice is needed here.

If your friend was not just a troll making trouble on posts, then he can always return under a new user name and help people. If his intent was not to help, he’ll end up getting banned again. I didn’t know him, but have seen several instances where he disrupted posts with comments that were inappropriate and distracting. I think if you knew the complete history of his replies that you would agree with the mods’ decision. Even a troll sometimes says something insightful or funny, but that doesn’t mean they are really your friend.

Just my opinion, but I don’t think you’re battling an injustice in this case. I would hate to see a good member like yourself leave over someone who was malicious. We all agree to follow the TOU when we sign up. A person doesn’t get banned 5 times without reason.

Hi, sorry for the delay Sans, things got a bit mad last night. You look about the only sane person on here! Your kids are at a lovely age - although the 13yr old may see some rocky times ahead haha. Enjoy every minute with them. Best wishes.

Sometimes we get batches of people asking for money. Usually the ones asking are trolls themselves. They see a sad story in the local newspaper or online, and they take those details to the web looking for gullible caring people.

It is irritating when there’s no mod on. I’ll check around and see if one’s here.

Anyway, click on the loan company’s avatar and follow their trail, they have done this on several posts. They can’t all be false.

Good for you for chasing the troll. But have you considered that the users asking for money may be the same person as the loan shark?
