hi cham back . been having a time of dealing with someone trying idenity theft on me.. trying to take appropriate measures to handle. Well, i take it you didn’t’ get the avatar i wanted? did the press ctrl and v guess u didn’t get. went back to webweavwe’s .com 7 read seen this clipart had a chg. $10.00 fee. am willing to pay, but can’t contact or know how to make it into avatar. seen a similar one is an avatar, however flashing eyes are brown not blue. can u make this free one have blue eyes?? ok if i am being a bother to you!

You have to right click INSIDE my shout box (where you type the words). What you did was right clicked OUTSIDE my shout box.

If that doesn’t work for you - do this —

type anything into my shoutbox and hit the space bar. Then on your keyboard hold down the CTRL button (bottom left area) and while you’re holding that down with one finger, hit the letter V key with another finger.
Do that EXACTLY and it should copy your link into my shout box if you did the previous instructions correctly.

Cham, i did,but at your shout when i right clicked, see no paste.. only shows:Back,Save as background, copy background create shortcut add to fav. doing something wrong? i was hovered on a blank spot… Should i be on your name there or ???SoRRY !

Go to the image you want me to see.
Hover your mouse pointer over the image and click your RIGHT mouse button (that’s what “right click” means). When you right click it a drop down menu will appear (a gray box with different options to choose from). Move your mouse pointer down to the option “Copy Image Location” and click your LEFT mouse button.
Now go to my shout box and hover your mouse pointer inside it, click your RIGHT mouse button and the drop down menu will appear again. Move your mouse pointer down to the option “Paste” and LEFT click it.

What you’re actually doing when you do all those clicks honey is this -
When you “copy” something, your computer writes it to it’s clipboard. When you “paste” something, your computer looks at the clipboard and types out whatever is in it for you.
Your computer’s clipboard can only hold one thing at a time, so every time you “copy” something, it erases the last thing you had in there. ;) Make sense?

cham, did,up tp hitting copy, then i don’t see anything? what’s to happen? never did before. what do u mean right click into shout box to u??? confused! need more how to’s if u don’t mind..

Nope that web address doesn’t work.
Instead of trying to type it out, go to the page, click on the URL with your right mouse button and choose Copy from the drop down menu. Then right click into a shout box to me and choose Paste from the drop down menu.

Go to the image you’re talking about, right click on it and choose View Image. Then copy the URL at the top of the page and paste it in my shout box so I can take a look at it.

Uploading is when you bring something that’s on your computer “up” onto the Internet.
Downloading is when you bring something from the web “down” to your computer.

Yes you’ll be able to do it, just follow the instructions exactly. I will type you a new set of instruction tailored to you, but first let me know - is the .gif (animated) image you’ve chosen to use on your computer or is it on the web?

Ok, little lesson here:

Whenever you see blue words on this site - they are clickable (meaning they are links and if you click on them they will take you to another page).
So do not try to type the web address I sent you into your address bar - because it’s been abbreviated to fit on this site so it’s not all showing up. And besides that - there’s a much easier way! -
When you see blue letters can do one of two things to “open” them.
1. You can just click on them with your mouse and they will turn the page you’re on into the page of the link.
2. This method is for when you want to open the link in a NEW page (and it’s the method I almost always use). Here’s how you do it -
Hover your mouse over the blue words (link) and hit the RIGHT button on your mouse (not the left button that you usually use for things. That will open up a little menu bar which offers you different choices. You want to choose Open Link In New Tab (might be worded slightly different as you’re using a different browser than me, but it’s going to say nearly exactly that). Once you find that option, move your mouse down to it and LEFT click on it. That will open the link in a new tab for you :)

Just find an animated gif you like online or on your comp. and go to this page http://www.gifworks.com/cgi-bin/gifwo… and upload it, then choose edit, then resize, and type in 256 in both the squares and uncheck the little box that says Constrain Proportions, click OK and then right click and download the resized image. Then upload that image to your profile page :D

There are settings under in your Account Admin menu. See it above to the right in blue letters? Inside there you can set whether only people on your friend list can send you invites. It’s default setting is that anyone can send you invites.
So you see, you don’t “get on a personal invite list”, people just invite you if they think you can help or if they want you to read their post. The more friends you gather on your friend list, the more invites you’ll get.
Ok now for the email problem. Again inside your Account Admin settings you can turn that off. I did right away because otherwise your email will get FLOODED.
The way you sent me the first message today was through an invite for that post. I just happened to catch that it was meant as a message, not an invite. Under the reply box of every post is a box for inviting your friends. In THAT box you type a little note like “come help this person please” or “come see this funny post” and, as you did, you then click the boxes next to your friend’s icons and hit the Invite button.
If this was confusing, let me know. I’m happy to help you out in any way I can. :)

First thax for responding, just wondered how to get on the personal invite list as u are? also why can’t I respond like you & I did one one one? everything seems to go to my email want to live chat Still new!!! thanx so much for your help

What was your question in the invite? It didn’t all show up.
