  Ouch.. Let’s look at it half full shall we?? You got cake!! Some people don’t have food, let alone cake.. You had two people acknowledge that it’s your birthday!! Some people don’t have family memebers alive or close to them to be there on their special day.. You can drink!! That could be fun.. You got to jam with your dad and sister on the morning of your birthday.. You have the rest of your whole healthy life ahead of you just waiting for you to unleash all your awesome qualities upon the world now that you’re an adult!!

  Hey there : )..
  
  It can really suck working at a restaurant, as i cook at one.. There, the servers make about $3.60? Which I believe is the minimum wage for tip-based employees in our state, but you may want to look up what the state minimum is for wherever you live..
  
  When I go to the restaurant you work at, and I receive DECENT service, defined as my server not going out of their way to do anything special, I usually tip around 10%.. Why do I do that? Because where I work, I make all the food and bust my a$s to keep the SERVERS happy. The SERVERS run back to me and have managers come chew me out for ANYTHING that goes wrong. I take just as much heat as they do if not more, and at the end of the night they happily count up their tips that they keep ALL of, minus taxes, and then complain that they only make the equivolent of $12-20/hour, not counting their wage!! That’s more than double what I make.. In that light, it’s a wonder that I tip my server at all..
  
  It can be a sucky job, but there are worse out there.. Try watching “Dirty Jobs” on Discovery : )..

  Failing sucks and can definately be disheartening.. But for me at least, I get sick of failing, and it usually motivates me to try even harder. You can’t let failing stop you from getting something you know will make you incredibly happy. You must feel bad about failing, and eventually you will get tired of failing and make yourself do w/e it is you really want to do. Go for it!

  A couple things that stuck out to me that I’m going to address, because I feel like they are arguably wrong in your logic.
  
  First, is that you are a product of sin. You are not a product of sin. From how you worded things, I’m assuming you are Christian of some denomination? Jesus taught to love all people, and demonstrated that he loved all people, even those of his day that were thought to be tainted like the tax collectors and prostitutes.
  
  Two quotes that I think are questionable: “The girls I thought were my friends gave me dirty looks that told me I was unwanted scum.” “The other kids in my church make it obvious they want me to go away and never come back.”
  I feel like you may be misinterpreting these events. Truth is, that when we, humans, get upset and emotional, we can tend to see things and place too much concern on events that we wouldn’t normally. For example, when I have a rough day at work, and feel like ****, as I’m leaving the mall, I’ll see a cute girl, and smile, and get completely ignored. I’m devastated, and I think about that girl for the rest of the night. Therefore, your friends may not have been giving you dirty looks, but could have been giving you sad looks, trying to express their sympathy that you weren’t having fun.
  
  I’m a senior now, and I feel pretty alone and miserable too most of the time.. Last night was Saturday night, and I sat at home in an empty house doing homework, after having worked all day. You’re not alone, and we’re here to support you.
  I am truly sorry your prom didn’t go well. One thing is that after the end of this year, high school won’t matter. You’ll get a new start, with a big world to go explore and meet new people.
