  First, I’m sorry that you’re going through so much stress. It’s obvious from your post, that you are definitely busy and being pulled in many directions in life.
  
  I am a stranger and can detect your stress and vulnerability.
  
  Imagine how your ‘best friend’ is perceiving this?
  
  He knows that you are stressed out and are single. It sounds like he’s trying to pressure you into a relationship (Over your wishes, of course). And using your vulnerable state as an advantage. I didn’t realize for a long time, but some ppl are methodical when it comes to trying to get others to do what they want.
  
  That doesn’t sound too nice of him, does it? When someone you “love” is in distress, you try to shelter them. Not pressure them into actions contrary to their free will. I mean, sometimes tough love works. But couldn’t he be considerate and give you, “time” at least? What’s the rush. Would you do that to him?
  
  There doesn’t seem to be enough respect there. And one of the most valuable lessons, i’ve learned in my life. Is that if a relationship doesn’t have a strong basis of respect? It’s not fulfilling enough.
  
  You need to tell him once more, clearly. ” I am stressed and vulnerable. I need a friend now. Could you just be that for me?” If he responds by just being a friend. Then that’s good. And I am so happy for you.
  
  But if he responds by being cold to you? Or being friends but pressuring you once again? STOP TALKING TO HIM. The person that he cares about the most in this relationship is himself. And that is totally not fair. Too selfish.
  
  Good luck. You’ll find a good friend else. Or maybe you could just take some “me time.” To try to sort things out and start and inner dialogue w/yourself. You could learn alot about yourself this way. Good luck. I wish you the best.

  Called, please. What is this, a detective site?
  
  No, it’s supposed to be a community, where people can come on here anonymously and ask for help as well as give help.
  
  Yes, there are ppl that come onto this site with ripe imaginations who seem to crave attention and affirmation in this way. Some might even seek sympathy through exaggeration of reality, yes.
  
  But arrogant and DANGEROUS it is of YOU and anyone else similar to you, to ASSUME, through past posts, the complete truth of this person’s existence!
  
  I don’t believe anyone was being “played”. That’s a bit simplistic of you to say. If a “helper” is genuine with their motives and care about another human being and wish to help them, they cannot be “played”.
  
  Those that come on here with ANY issues, whether real or imagined, it does not matter.
  
  A cry for help is a cry for help. Who are you to judge, who is worthy of help and who is not? Sometimes ppl make seek attention through dishonest means because they are trying to fill a void in their lives. Are you saying these people should be completely discounted? How do you think that makes them feel? ARe their feelings and opinions less valuable then your’s because they’ve lied about their lives?
  
  I was in a similar predicament as the author of this post found himself/herself. I had learned that the person who was “playing” me, as you aptly put it, was posting false pics of herself/himself on photobucket. There was also a backstory of incest and molestation. (Granted, it’s easy to conjure up the image of two prebuscent kids, getting their kicks off of fooling gullible people on this site….BUT… that’s besides the point. What does one’s ego/pride have to do with this, really? )
  
  People automatically jumped to the conclusion that she/he was a troll and said harsh things to him/her. It seems to me, that this person was seeking attention and that it’s very possible that his/her story WAS in fact rooted in truth. This person could of had very well had issues with molestation in his/her past. But do we know this to be certain? NO.
  
  I didn’t say anything to defend him/her. I conceded to the majority consensus and now I regret that decision. But i’m saying it now.
  
  We are on here to help indiscriminately. Not to judge.

  JJ, let me clarify. You’d have to follow the thread of what I said. I understand it’s easy to get tangled up and lost.
  
  What I had wrote was for those PEOPLE that HAVE ALREADY ESTABLISHED an interest in experimenting with drugs. I was just saying that it’ll be WISE to be safe and know their limits before they choose to use. And also to UNDERSTAND THE REASONS behind their desire to use. And by using, this can encompass many things, not just cocaine but alcohol, cigarettes, weed, meth, crack, whatever.
  
  I’m sorry to hear that you were introduced to drugs by ppl who didn’t care about your well-being, you shouldn’ve been better protected. But you see… not everyone will share your experiences and point of view. But then again some will. So it was good that you spoke up and out.
  
  Let me explain the reason behind my post.
  As soon as one starts preaching to certain “curious” kids about the dangers of using, they’re not to listen to you. You’re going to tuned out. Ppl have an amazing way of filtering out only what they want to hear. I did, I was a stubborn mule when I was younger.
  
  Drugs have a reputation of “rebellion” and usually only a certain segment of society will look to use them. Usually the “rebellious” one. The ones who might be looking for escape, drama, acceptance? It could be many things. Does that make sense? Sometimes saying, “No, don’t use it…it ruined my life!”, might not be enough to deter certain ones in this segment of society. So what do you do? And what do you say in that case? I say, ok. If you’re going to use, know what you’re getting into. And don’t let it consume you.
  
  I’ll let you know. I used to be ADDICTED to heroin & cocaine. I don’t regret using because well, regret isn’t going to turn back the clock. But I WON’T DO IT AGAIN. I’m done with wasting my money , wasting my health and wasting my time. When i quit. I had lost the respect of myself, my family, my friends. I’d almost lost 2 teeth (drugs do that), absolutely no money and had had 2 friends die of overdose. They were only in their early 20s, for godsakes And it stopped being fun waaaayyyy before the pointless drama ended.
  
  So yes, if you’re going to experiment. Do it. But don’t lose yourself in the process and try to UNDERSTAND WHY YOU HAVE AN URGE TO USE. And remember that drug addiction, is where drugs rule you. Recreational drug use, is where you rule the drugs. BUT THERE IS A THIN LINE between the two for SOME. And if you decide not to use anything? Good, you’ll be saving time, energy and money to allot to other pointless endeavors.

  admiral, i remember when i was about 13, i couldn’t wait to experience the world and love. I was so excited, that I went through a spell of intense insomnia. It was summer when my insomnia was at it’s worst and I’d sneak outta our apartment in NC & just go on long walks around my neiborhood at like 3 in the morning and watch the sun come up. (I think i was the happiest during those days, that anticipation was delicious.)
  
  Well, around that time, I had this incredible dream about someone, I am/was destined to meet, (or such). But I woke up from this dream and cried, because in the dream we were saying goodbye and it was heartbreaking. Never experienced that before that night.
  
  You must feel like..a.. connection to the world. Funny thing is, we can feel ‘engaged’ by just experiencing new things, meeting new people, doing things that make us feel self-esteem and interest. Not necessarily relationships. But anyways, you’re impatient. lol. I know, you’re way into hobbies and you’re bored o them now. Hopefully it’ll come. I’m still looking ahead myself, altho, I’ve caught snippets of joy here and there.
