It has been a few years. We didn’t want the grandsons to ride those dunes before they were ready. So, we pretended they were some sort of ancient myth. I hear Glamis is very expensive, now. When we rode, camping was cheap. Do you ride out there?

You are in Yuma? There should be classes in glass fusing there. I have been to Yuma a few times. We used to ride ATCs out at the dunes near El Centro. Some good memories out there for me.
I don’t go to chat anymore. Some of the conversations there are just too “out there” for oldsters, like me. I like to be helpful so the posts interest me more. I hope you do come back to help when you can. Your advice is usually right on and so many young people need help these days. I guess it has always been that way.

When I read “inspiration” - that gave me a lift. I’ve been doing it tough and working hard, looking just a few steps ahead fro a while now. Hearing that I have helped someone - even in the smallest way - well, its just one of those GOOD things if you know what I mean.

I don’t recall the “conversation with the cocaine-drug-user-hater” but you’re right, I was disjointed. I was facing pain I’d repressed my entire life, and once it was out on the page, I needed to leave.

I’m sure I’ll have some more angst in the future, but for now, I’m rolling in the world and rolling ok.

Swimming was good. I’m facing my all time fear of heights and have now jumped from the 5m tower 3 times. For me that’s huge. When I finally did it, I got an honest round of applause from the kids there, as it was clear I was petrified - but its done now.

It is a good time to be in a nursing/alt.medicine occupation. With the baby boomers getting older, the need for quality health care will be huge. Many of us have lost faith in traditional medicine.
