2008-07-03 20:35:39 on I hate my “family”.
I can relate to this. My life sounds a hell of a lot like this, except I have one older sister… and she’s just like all three of yours. My parents finally gave in awhile ago and let me see a therapist, but it didn’t help me at all. I honestly don’t think that anyone can help you but yourself. You’ve just got to find what makes you you, and build your self-esteem around it. Remember that if you can’t love yourself, they can’t love you. Families can get a bit confusing, but I think that if you were a little more self-confident in yourself and your abilities (or the faith you have in finding your abilities and/or your future success in life!) and you were eventually a lot happier, your family would back off. Try to bring your grades up. B+ ain’t a bad grade at all, but an A+ is still possible. You shouldn’t even do it for your mom, you should do it for yourself. You make and break your own success, no one else can bring you down. And no matter what your family says or does, try to keep your head up and don’t beat yourself up so much. There will always be people looking to bring you down, so why bring down yourself?
I wish you the best of luck in your journey, and I hope things get better soon =)
