  yes. today the pentagon announced khalid shiekh mohamid transcript in trial guotanimo , he claimed killing daniel pearl in pakistan. the book I referred to was by bernard henri levi, a french philosopher and journalist.
  
  of course khalid’s photo showed him desheveled. t-shirt, unshaven and discusting. Every defense attorney protests not letting his client appear with respect in good clothing before his judge. oh well..rhetoric of justification for emprsionment outside of any court of law, doesn’t deal with niceties. Let’s give credit where chrdit is due. khalid’s strategy of using u.s. commercial planes to bomb n.y. commercial center was genious. War is hell, for sure, we weren’t expecting it to be put in our domestic society. Yes, it was henious..but genious, evil genious.
  
  But american muslims don’t deserve association with that…we need to know our american muslims, their faith, their desire for closeness to god, peace and well being for all of us..and their willingness to do combat under american arms.

  I agree with wtfinger…the L experience engulfs us. but, the problem is to arouse our will from L to do what’s good for us.
  
  Disconnection is tuff, we fear we’ll hate that person or we’ll be hatefully accused of disloyalty by that person if we disconnect. So called “objectivity”, however is precisely this disconnection allowing us to observate what’s going on.
  
  this is a bit cold, but real when I say, love’s origins are basic. Basic life really isn’t so attached, I’m referring to group instincts felt by togetherness of family, community. In fact this basic instinctive authority inwardly screams at our stepping on it.
  
  So, I say this: perhaps using metaphores which might make sense, maybe not; but as our army training officers used to yell at us, get your head out of the duffle bag, go solder go!!.
  
  We hated them, but their point was: when doing the impossible you need to arouse sensible but intense motivation, either by yourself or by the demands of others, because we all sometime need to turn around our fears paralysing us. How often I’ve read of soldiers fleeing in combat but turning around and charging their combatants when trusted officers have demanded courage of them, and himself demonstrated fearlessness. Please, do that for yourself.
  
  It out of my range help deciding what you must do. But seek professional help. With deep feeling, I wish you well..please “stand up on your feet.”

  Renee,I was almost regretting posting this..I felt like an old foggy, too serious..out of step. your reply brought me back into the “crowd”, thanks.
  
  Yoga text, that is verbal theory, that I found the best, is Pantajali, or commentaries about him. For a long while the poses fascinated me, I couldn’t get enough of different books on them. Comparing them, with tai chi, I learned the distinction between “form” and “action” from perspective of yoga practice,
  In context of motion, for example, mind/body movement, speech [word choice,enunciation, meaning] I experience as motion. Also I experience form and poses, as keeping on the theme, or returning again and again to an affirmation, or a scripture, and staying in proper conduct during legal debate;
  The distinction betwen tai chi and poses in yogic context as I experience them is movement; and staying in proper context.

  well..sounds like everyone’s got opinions outside the mode of your normal way of getting along with guys. Bad boys, are like hunters, their mode is “make the kill and the gang moves on”. But they’re stopped and either driven away, or aroused to dig in to stay, if the bear turns and stands her ground. cubs and all.
  
  my first reaction to your post was why does she want a boyfriend? I first understood you as, a guy on your arm is what every girl wants. she has not arrived as a woman without a boyfriend, like a guy he who wants fast cars, and pin up girl or a classy wife, to boast about. surely you don’t mean that. but do you?
  
  More, if a bad guy attracts you, make demands on him, what do you want with him. Alone; think it through: why is a relationship attractive which promises a “go getter”?
  
  Even aggressive ones need a safe haven, to crawl back to. With guys its the fellowship, “we guys together, our gang”. we do a lot of friendly jousting, jousting lets us bond, because the gang is always there “thick and thin” in danger and in good times. that is the attraction of our pact “comrads in arms”‘ we’re not afraid of each other’s “flow of manliness”.
  
  If you want something from a guy who is a go getter. you want, hopefully a “comrad” in arms, one with whom you can prod, provoke, joke with; but one who who always who lets each save face, who remains loyal, either way, keeping openess together. (openness as in verbal confrontation; and also as in times of reassurance of your “pact”.)
  
  
  Don’t beat him, that’s an invitation to open a physical interaction which you can’t win; or don’t want to win. Do you want a guy you can overcome by violence? For guys that can be a sporting reaction but not sporting between a guy and a gal.
  
  If he wants sex, if you do, what’s your demand..insist on it, but let common idealism _*/ protect your comeradery. Don’t be afraid of being a beautiful ***** who’se been wronged. Be sly, use anger to get your point across, but never,, never,, break the code of your pact, by “mortally” humiliating him.

  maarten. finally somebody writes about yoga. well buddy, it s good to know you.
  ok, history vs. fantecy. fantecy functions in the present moment. it allows you to reach way back into “history”. Yet fantecy is experienced while your toes sit on the same earth, it was on a few seconds ago. But the activity and purpose of yoga, remains constantly right where your at. your body acting in harmony with your mind.
  
  history is serious stuff. even if its a mental game, fantecy based. the fantecy of history stays in toon with demonstrable facts. In search of history, we can’t let fantecy run wild. we really reach for evidence of others who lived before us. So your question really is, where in the resources available to anyone, is there a factual account of jala Neti being practiced for several thousands years. I’ll join you in this search. but, perhaps the intent of the statement is it’s been practiced so far back, it can’t be questioned as to its authenticity. maybe yes maybe no. but your willingess to accept this authenticity is imporant. mountain man

  possibly the harder you try to change your feeling, the more the hurt stubbornly holds forth. if possible let it hurt until hurt gets boring. Move on to other interests. believe life is possible without reminding your self of the pain. hang in there. mountain man.
