My story is very long and complicated but whose isn’t right? :) I’m very overwhelmed at the moment and it’s difficult to gather my thoughts but I’ll make an attempt at it. I’m somewhat embarrassed to mention my variety of employment history, as it will most likely make me look like someone that doesn’t know what he wants to be when they grow up… well, this is my short bio, I have a degree in graphic design, but that’s from 1987 and I only had on and off freelance jobs since 1987, but that died out as I never landed full-time employment in that field. Also, I’m not updated with all the current graphic software needed for most graphic jobs and would need to go to classes to be competitive with the post-college crowd going after those types of jobs today. If there were a job where I had to airbrush and edit pictures all day in Photoshop, then I’d be your person, as I’ve relied heavily upon Photoshop when I run ebay auctions. Some have said that my pictures are some of the best on ebay auctions. I’ve used ebay since 1997 and have 100% positive feedback there. Currently I’m clearing out my old childhood bedroom, selling off things like comic books and coins from my collections as a kid, but that doesn’t go very far, as far as bringing in any substantial weekly income, plus, everything I’m selling from my past does not have any large values attached to them. I have a lot of knowledge about old rare coins and collectibles, if that’s of any worth? Here’s the next confusing bit of my employment background, I have a real estate broker’s license, but never had an office of my own. I started with a broker as an agent back in 2003, but became too head strong and ventured out on my own with very little experience thinking I was going to make it big. Well, that attitude only brought so many things crashing down on me… As you most likely know real estate relies heavily upon a car, and that I do not have… well a little more of who I am… I’m in my early 40’s with an almost teen son, which lives back and forth with his mom and myself. His situation with his mom is not great and I need to eventually get him into better circumstances. That’s a whole other very long story in itself. Here’s the part that will probably turn away most of the readers now… I’ve been living in my parents’ house. Yes, I know that makes me sound like a freak as I’m usually the brunt of many comedians’ routines, right? Well, not to go into serious details, my mother is very anxiety ridden and is often afraid to leave the house, while my father is never around and doesn’t offer to help. They don’t seem to mind if I just waste away in this house so I pretty much stay in my old childhood bedroom trying to get out of this situation by using the Internet. I have the whole Internet, but don’t have a clue where to turn for some actual advice or help. I’ve found that so many people in these groups are so rude and don’t seem to have a sympathetic bone in their body. But they are quick to point out the mistakes they think I’ve made in life, which has brought me to this point. I don’t need that right now, I already know what brought me here, but looking back is not helping, I want and need to change the present. so………. I’m very isolated where I’m living. It’s very rural, so a car or access to a car is necessary. Many have mentioned talking to family members, well, they all seem to have more problems than myself and they haven’t given any offers of help or even advice. I feel very alone, let’s just say. Bottom line is this… if I could be part of a rideshare or carpool, that would start me back on my feet, or if someone could offer me some work that’s based online, that would work great right now. I’m not looking for free hand outs, just a start back at life, ok? I just want a chance, please, someone give me a chance to prove myself… I want to work, please.
