• (1 vote) Well here’s my problem, I recently just got hired.
  

  You may need to find some knee exercises so you can build strength on them. I’ve had random knee problems also, but I still jog every day. You just have to work them out a little harder than a typical person would.
  
  And it is definitely a terrible time to have to look for a job right now. But all you can do is continue looking as much as you can for another job. Just try your hardest to stick with this one until you find something that suits you because I don’t think this one suits you much at all, since you’re in pain and stressed out!
  
  Also, keep the mindset that you won’t be stuck in that situation forever, & you’re lucky to have a job with good hours right now! :) Just don’t stop looking for something less stressful!

  Yeah..seriously. He’s a guy! If you get concerns about stuff like this, you just have to blatantly say it. Otherwise, he’ll have no idea whatsoever that you’re thinking about that. And your personality will start crashing because instead of just having fun with him, you’ll be spending all of your time wondering when he’s going to dump you. Then he, in turn, will get bored and he will end up dumping you anyways! So, if I were you..to avoid all of that.. I’d just tell him what his little brother said. Put him on the spot. Either he thinks that’s ridiculous, or he freaks out and admits to it. Whichever way, at least you’ll know now before you get in any deeper.

  Yeah, it’s probably been pretty hard on both of you…having to deal with that :(
  Jealousies and insecurities are like poison, mostly to you, but also to relationships. In my opinion, I think that you should do some serious soul-searching and get to know yourself better. You don’t love yourself..not the way you need to. It’s completely up to you if you want to stay and try to fix what has gone wrong, because you’ve got to remember..it’s never much fun to have someone acting jealous and insecure all the time…it’s better to be able to relax and have fun. That probably hasn’t happened much in awhile has it? For either of you.
  
  It sounds like he feels like it’s never going to get better, the way it was in the beginning. Do you think it will? Honestly? Only you can know that.
  
  You’ve GOT to find ways to love yourself…and make yourself feel like an amazing person. Everyone is. You are too. You just have to learn to believe it. The day you believe it is the day things will get better.
  
  And this relationship belongs to you and him…nobody else. Listen to your heart and mind before you do anything drastic yet. Just work on making yourself happy first.

  I am searching for a job because I lost my other job a few months ago and I have to support myself. I’m not a child anymore. A job is required of me, it isn’t a choice anymore.

  No, I think I pulled some helpful stuff out of that :) And I do believe in Karma, definitely. I know things balance out, but things have been intensely tough for about a year now, not to mention my growing up experience. I’m just searching for that break. And it better be a good one! :)

  The self pity stage is annoying, isn’t it? I wonder why we kick ourselves like this when we’re down. I just started feeling this way this morning, and I’ll try my best to not let it last too long.

  EXACTLY! I’m also in a relationship that turned long distance (because of job situations)…it takes A LOT of hard work, patience, trust, everything. I’ve been a roller coaster of emotions since he’s moved. Especially after we spent almost every day together while he was living up here.

  Wow :( ..that’s how I sounded when I first got with my current boyfriend. I was so paranoid about him screwing up or leaving like the rest of them did. But he just kept sticking around and making things seem better. After awhile I realized there was no reason for him to “waste time” on me, so he wouldn’t be with me if he didn’t wanna be. Just try hard to realize that he would’ve already left if he was planning on it. If you expect it to happen the entire time you guys are together, it’s going to ruin everything anyways, then it really will happen! :(
  
  I think maybe you should just sit down with him and explain what you told us :) About how you’ve become cynical about everything and it’s making you unhappy… And you feel like an awful example of a girlfriend. You’re not at all, you’re just stressed about life and you need to open up to your boyfriend so he can reassure you and “be there” for you. I think talking and working through this TOGETHER will make all the difference in the world for both of you.

  I noticed one thing you mentioned..that you’ve only had one job for a short time since college. I can tell you from experience that not having a job and not making money for yourself can affect your confidence like crazy. I got laid off over five months ago from a job that I absolutely loved (minus some crazy coworkers), so I’ve been dealing with that. I have been applying just about everywhere to get myself back in the race. I also started back in college a couple months ago, something that’s really going to help me out in the long run. I think you need to do something for yourself like that, and you might start feeling better.
  
  From what I can tell, I don’t think the problem lies in your boyfriend…in fact, I think that your boyfriend is good to stick by you when things are going like this. You said he’s the one you’ve wanted since you were a little girl…if you break up with him I don’t see how that’s going to solve anything. It is only going to add to your list of sorrows. I think you’d regret that move. It almost sounds like you’re blaming it all on him..like if he was out of your life everything would be easy. Have you really thought about that? :|
