thank you i did computer added designing and computer added manufacturing.

Heh, just to let you know, the therapist started crying today. Admitted that I can’t ever “get over” this kind of love. Says the only thing she can really work on with me, is coping with things now. So, yeah… fun stuff, just figured I’d see if you had a take on that.

I would just like to tell you, that I am not rolling over your comment. I do appreciate what you said, it just seems like people think it is easy to do. I begin counseling on Monday, to try and help with the remaining issues I have. My problems in my post are the people who just sound cold, and apathetic to the situation. OK. Evolution with a big ‘E’ does not coincide with genesis. But that is a debate to be held with theistic evolutionists. I have no problem with the idea of natural selection taking place over the last 10,000 years or so. I do have a problem with christians who, in an attempt to not argue with scientists, says they can have both. They can’t. They’re merely sitting on the fence and making absolutely nothing make sense. The main idea of the bible is that Christ(God) came to earth to save men from their sin. They fell into sin in Genesis 3 which resulted in death. In the garden of Eden there was no death. So if God used scientific Evolution to create the world over billions of years, then christ came to save us from and conquer a death that exsisted efore the world even fell into sin.
Point being, I wouldn’t praise christians who decide to be wishy washy in their beliefs just to accomadate the rest of the world.

Well that’s fine for you, i was just going with the dictionary definition of “atheist” which is “•someone who denies the existence of god.” So i apologize for that asumption, but i guess the word atheist has grown to include a wider variety of people.

You failed to mention that belief in Evolution is just as much a matter of faith as believing in God Himself. I’m just clarifying that that was what I was getting at with that part.

This is where it gets complicated. I should not have worded it as I did. Of course people see beauty, intelligence, morality and things like that in the world without a faith in God. However, without God, nothing is absolute, especially morality.

Look at the animal kingdom. If we evolved from there then somewhere along the way we developed some sort of sense of right and wrong. We have laws about killing eachother. But what really makes murder right or wrong? just whatever the population says at the time? All rules are completely arbitrary when created by men and change over time so there is no absolute ‘good’ and there for no absolute standards of morality. In some parts of the world it’s legal to kill your child up until it is ready to be born. Is that moral? currently people say maybe. 50 years ago most would have said no. In other parts of the world infanticide has been legal and practised (though i think it’s illegal everywhere now, even though it still happens). Most people in this country would consider that immoral… At least I hope so. But who knows what people will think in 50 years? That’s because people have no basis for their morality. It’s whatever people *think* is ok. So if it’s based on opinion, then who are you or me to tell them they’re wrong? What makes you right?

Now i’ve heard the arguement that christians are just as arbitrary because we say our basis for morality is God and who are we to decide that God’s will is good. Funny thing is it goes back to the preconcieved notions I was talking about. The atheists leads you to each individual deciding what’s good. Mine leads me to God deciding what’s good. And why do I follow what He says? To get into heaven? to avoid hell? no and no. Is God good simply because God is good? well yes, and no. I follow God’s will and I find absolute morality in Him because He created the world, and more importantly because He Loves Me. I started with the basis of “the bible is true” and found all the answers, life’s purpose, morality, beauty, and intelligence, none of which, starting from this view point, is arbitrary and all of it makes sense. The evolutionist starts with the big bang, has billions of unexplained years, arbitrary and changing morality, as well as skin deep beauty and intelligence(i’m not saying people aren’t beautiful inside, but that the inside beauty you find is so shallow compared to the beauty that you find in Christ alone). I’m not trying to insult anyone. I just want to show how much more alive and amazing the world is when you see it as it is through the lens of the bible.

Things are going good. Im getting God back in my life after running for so long. School is still a little stressful but ill make it. I talked to him today actually. I rather me and him be friends because i have soo much to work on and with a guy comes distraction….
