2008-08-02 20:45:39 on Hi, Me and my girlfriend have been goign out for 2yrs now
Keep telling her, seriously!!
My fiance does the same thing to me, and even though I say that I’m not, if I look into his eyes, I can see that he truly does mean what he says.
Trust me, she still likes it. All girls love compliments, even when they don’t show it.
2008-08-02 20:26:42 on What kind of hobbies or clubs can i join that will help me be more social and meet more people.

You THINK? What exactly makes you think this?
2008-08-02 20:17:13 on Back to school?
Depending on when school starts, force yourself to wake up a little earlier everyday and then you will be tired earlier.
The first day getting back on track is the HARDEST. It’s hard to just go to bed at 10:00 and just fall asleep. Because of your internal clock right now, you will probably just lie awake for hours. I recommend going to bed around the time you usually do, then just force yourself to wake up at the right time in the morning. You’ll be dead tired all day long, but the good news is that when it is time to go to bed at a decent hour, you’ll fall asleep.
It’ll be hard getting up, but that’s the price us night-owls make in the summer!!! (I’m a teacher, so I feel your pain!)
2008-08-02 20:11:20 on Stuck in a conundrum.
It’ll be a LONG time before he matures. You’ll either have to bank on the fact that he’s 18 in 6 years, or deal with him possibly still being immature until then.
Another thing that concerns me is you making the effort to help him become better at things. Though your heart is in the right spot, he’s not with you enough, and until you are married (and possibly even after) you will never be his mother - something everyone will always know.
2008-08-02 20:08:24 on Okay, so I am not the type of girl that would ever date someone older than her.
Sounds like this guy isn’t interested in a relationship, otherwise he’d be more up front and honest about it, especially with your brother.
2008-08-02 20:05:43 on Im so ashamed
In order to figure out ways to help you cope, a little more information on what you are ashamed of is necessary.
2008-08-02 20:00:31 on Stuck in a conundrum.
It sounds to me like you need to get out of this relationship. This child may have been through a lot, but I don’t think you will be happy if you stay in this relationship. This kid will continue to drive you crazy. And even if your boyfriend and yourself love each other and are happy together, you are “dating” the kid here too. Sounds to me like you should go out and try to find a relationship that makes you happy all the way around.
Plus, your boyfriends will always put his son first, no matter what. It’s possible the kid is acting this way to drive you away also, so why stay?
And another note, if you end up with this man, his kid will because YOURS as well.
2008-07-21 21:30:41 on My fiance has decided to apply for a job that is almost 2 hours from where we currently live.
But surely he is the one being selfish if he is trying to make you move to somewhere you don’t want to? On the other side, if he feels he is doing what he thinks is best for both of you then maybe he just can’t understand why you wouldn’t want to move and to have a husband that is successful. I would suggest you and he both separately write down the reasons why you want to stay or move. You need to then sit down and talk about the things on your list and both try and remain very calm so that it doesn’t end up in a huge argument. You must both have very valid reasons for what you want to do but the hardest thing is going to be finding a compromise. It seems that he is possibly thinking very financially and you are thinking more emotionally. These are both very equal and valid considerations and having moved away from friends and family, and a town I loved, myself I know it can be very hard. On the other hand by doing that I have had so many new experiences then I would have had by staying at home. If you do move then you will at least be very near to home and although you won’t have old friends immediately there, they are not too far. Do you also have a job that you are very attached to?
I’m attached to a lot of things here, including my job. I teach and love my school and it’s in a bigger city. The city his job is in is a VERY small city and I think it will be difficult to get a teaching job there.
And I do think he is selfish as well. Especially since I seem to be the only one questioning things right now and he’s telling people that he knows he’ll get the job and will take it.
(I know it says I posted this anonymously but I didn’t have my login set up. This is me though.)
2008-07-21 20:44:59 on How can I deal with the shame of hit and run on an animal.
you should really deal with how to deal with being the biggest homosexual ever
Slangwzang5, if you’re not here to help, then don’t read other’s posts. You’re a waste of time, hurtful, and you have no purpose here. That said I will now red flag you :)
I think that it’s okay to feel sad that the cat died, but even though it was your car, it’s not your fault. Breaking for animals is good, but you have to think of your own safety and (if applicable) your passengers. Break for the cat and you may have been rear-ended, and you or the other cars’ passengers could have been seriously injured.
