  About the English… check out my website at www.GetLiterallySpeaking.org. It is intended for amusement (word humor), but there are a few articles in the archives that explain the difference between some often confused words. I wrote it with the thought in mind that many people misuse these words, but it might be embarrassing for them to ask for help… the stuff on my website makes it easy to self-educate.

  Sorry, I am not a patent attorney. They take a special bar for that. The website that was given previously http://www.uspto.gov/# is a good place to start with general knowledge.
