  Well since you are posting anonymously, if you tell us what things he is telling people, we might be able to help diffuse this situation. If you come clean with your family before the news gets to them, you might be able to salvage what is left. I doubt telling your ex to stop will stop you, so you have to minimize your losses right now. Suicide is not an option, it wil just make them all sad, and your ex will be so badly hurt.

  Yes as said before, try to ignore his advances, if they truly become a problem, or if you feel uncomfortable, talk to him after class.

  I assume nil that she is a woman. I also assume that it is a man who is teaching the class. If not then if its a male student and female teacher, then the problem is the same, but it will be easier to solve the problem, since men have an easier time getting on top of situations like this.
