Your picture reminds me of my old roommate… always shirtless with his cat…
2008-12-16 17:54:22 on How Do You Hang Swords?

They make really nice swords… I want to get the model 1313. It would be perfect for me.

2008-12-16 07:13:14 on How Do You Heat A Warehouse?
That sounds like the size of a one bedroom apartment… maybe try one of those verticle stand up heaters for larger spaces. Those little heaters are only good for little rooms or if you are sitting at a work bench and its close by. Check out walmart or something… i know… walmart… ewwww
2008-12-16 07:04:11 on How can I insert a multipage tiff file in a word document

2008-12-16 07:02:52 on I am in a great mood this morning/tonight!
A guy could use the site for a few years and even with amalgamated tables each table would still be pretty small in size.
2008-12-16 07:01:05 on I am in a great mood this morning/tonight!
Not quite. There are several independent catagories that you may not nececarily have information for but the way the database is designed each user gets their own tables that contain the potential to record information in all of the catagories. It simplifies the whole ordeal… I think having 6 to 100+ tables per user is just crazy and multiplies the work.
Some may have info while others don’t and some may have none at all. Its all good now though.
2008-12-16 06:55:46 on I am in a great mood this morning/tonight!
yeah, but it the number of values being solved were always differnt.
Like if there was data for the 15th of the month but there was not another entry until the 20th and then the next time was on the 30th.
It figures out the missing information by creating virtual data that is non-existent. So you have to deal with variable temporal gaps plus a whole bunch of other things that make it difficult. Its quirky stuff.
2008-12-16 06:50:44 on Who agrees Bush deserves to go to Guantanomo Bay?
A lot of you may not agree but I bet there are quite a few guys in Guantanomo Bay that deserve to be there and if you knew what they were like and the things they have done I doubt that you would have much sympathy for them.
On the other hand the use of torture on the innocent is not excusable by any measure. Does Bush deserve to go there? Not really. The world is a cold, mean place and sometimes reality necessitates harsh actions on the part of good people in order to attain the best outcome for the people that depend on them.
2008-12-16 03:11:23 on Its too hard to do anything honestly these days.
Yeah man, strange times we are living in… its not good. The value and capability of a person is little more then the variables they have built up in a collection of databases operated by business, government and police.
2008-12-16 03:00:28 on .
Well… it took quite some time to read through all these posts and I now have a burning desire to read the posts that have been removed.
I have a thought on this subject of power which was raised at some point in the discussion. Power without purpose is pointless. People who seek power to no end are small and illaudable people for only the weak feel power is an end unto itself. It is a need triggered by a larger inadequacy. There must be a reason for powers existence and use. People who take great joy in control and power often to not realize how weak it makes them.
I find this comment interesting…
of course, you could be simply lying to me about the information you revealed to me in order to stimulate a reaction. but perhaps that would be even more interesting. why would an anonymous person fabricate information about themselves to a person they know does not care about their wellbeing beyond shallow curiosity? that would be fascinating not only in the lie itself, but in nature of its content as well. anon, i patiently await your reply.
A sociopathic entity is an anonymous person fabricating information about themselves to others. I find your fascination fascinating. You are not so different from everyone else. We all seek to understand what makes us tick… at least those of us that are self-aware. This isn’t to say that what makes you tick is much like everyone else but I like that you think about it.
I love to read your posts. I find your writing refreshing and somewhat intoxicating. The darkness of your minds intent inflames mine with a dark stimulus triggering desires that invoke thoughts of situations in which you are made subservient and powerless to my whims. At the same time I could see quite clearly the intrigue of a role reversal under the same conditions that could very well be the outcome of my urges for domination. Yet still there is a certain appeal…
That is the lure of the Succubus.
These dark desires bring me back to my earlier thoughts on power fostering questions within. Do these urges of domination indicate weakness? Where does compensation end and the joy of dominiance begin? Could it be a perverse twinkle of justice served? A worthy purpose perhaps. Could imbibing in the pleasures of dominance both sexual and otherwise mark a transition within me that is of a lessening or a greatening of myself as an entity? Although these things are not necessarily to be equated to a negative experience for the parties involved (depends on the parties) to myself I think, “Banish these thoughts because they are a mark of a need.” Yet I am left thinking about the rewards gained by fufilling the need… these are the balancing acts of my mind.
Should this equilbrium be disturbed who knows where I might go.
Self-Control… still the mark of weakness persists. Perhaps the need is better satisfied through others… I will have to think more on this… I have no great point to prove with these writings… its just a little sally forth from my cerebral fortifications… until later… I look forward to your future posts.
2008-12-16 00:05:40 on Is the creative or what…..
tj, simple solution… jsut get the runners those little coolers with the handle on the lid. You could fit probably 6 drinks in there as long as they are not too big.
6 drinks @ 3.50 is $21… same as a pizza being delivered…
The guy could carry two if he had to.
2008-12-16 00:01:19 on Is the creative or what…..
You could have a host of needy students running around the campus looking for sales. Imagine if you are studying and you get hungry for a healthy snack and along comes the local smoothie guy… no need to interupt your work, just give him a couple bucks and he will bring you smoothie right to you in your corner of the library. I like it. Its also a way for the delivery guy to make extra drinking money.
2008-12-15 23:56:46 on I really want to go see my counselor but she thinks I don’t need to go in to see her.
Its all good, vent away!
I do not like psychiatry because I don’t think it really helps all that much. Only you can fix you… true that sometimes we need a little help but in the end its all us… don’t trust the drugs they give you. Quite often people are just as well off if not better when they are on a placebo. Sometimes drugs just make people a lot worse.
I can understand why people are depressed often. Life isn’t always great. Some people get a bad hand but some people get it all and still are not happy. Its up to us to figure it all out.
By the way, if you figure it all out let me know cause I am curious :)
2008-12-15 23:51:37 on What books can you recommend?
One thing to add…
One of the things that I really like about Edding’s books is the way they impart a keen worldly knowledge to the reader despite the fantastical settings of the stories.
