Anon, try not to get too emotionally attached unless she gets attached too. Im thinking shes kinda young, but I believe she said “she doesnt think true love exists” for the simple stupid reason of her judging mankind (relationshipwise) based on the stupidity of one dude (her ex!) who broke her heart. In other words, she gave too much to someone who simply was too immature to appreciate correctly. Thats a possibility.
She’ll keep believeing that until the day she meets someone who she will really fall in love with.

My advice…Just take it easy, vent, relax, act accordingly, and base your opinions on her actions (more than on her her words) and remember not to be needy nor act clingy.

Im sorry young lady, but in my book thats like abandonment, distancing, auto disqualified. Unless he’s in the military and he told you he was being deployed to another country or something.
You sure he is your bf? or are you assuming you guys are bf/gf? Idk, that type of stuff sounds like he’s not taking you seriously enough.

Look, I personally take what a person does more serious than what a person says, but thats me and my opinion, idk about you. And I do that when in a relationship too.

What matters here is what the person you are with says and does, NOT the people around him, what other people say or do dont count. It all has to come from him, he is the other part of the relationship.

My advice is that if you want to pursue the relationship, you tell him straight out how you feel, and how his actions hurt you, you tell him to listen.

BTW…Im sorry to hear about your situation, I know you must be going emotionally crazy and are hurt. Take care though.

You being at a 100% vs he being at a 0% is already a bad start. Im no psychic, but I sense you would be giving more than he would if you took the friendship a step further. It may be hard, I understand how it feels. Go with your gut feeling though.

You seem like an intelligent woman, you would know what to do.
