  sperm dies within 24-48 hrs. it takes about 36-72 hrs to fertilize an egg. i think you’re in the clear. the way women have known they were pregnant through the centuries is the absence of a period. a little spotting maybe, not not like a flow of a period.

  my husband is very similar. because he has piercings, my family thought he was goth and scary. Now, they have just learned to broaden the definition of the word normal. As long as you know what you are, don’t let the haters get the satisfaction.

  i agree that small things are a great reminder to her that you love her and are thoughtful of her wants and needs. Every once and a while you can do something really nice for her, as a really nice show of affection, but trust me, the small things really do add up!

  i can sympathize. Early in my marriage my mother traeted my husband like a second class citizen and it blew up. i had to lay down the law with her. She didn’t have to like my choice, but she did have to treat him with respect and courtesy. Just like we tell our children, if you can’t play nice, you can;t play at all. If you parents can’t be nice and respectful, then you need to make it clear that there are consequences. It hurts to be stuck in the middle, but ask yourself, at the end of the day, do want your parents to come home to, or your husband?
