  I don’t know if this is your first ‘divorce’ in a legal sense of things, but I’m sure you hope its the last.
  My opinion(and experience) is that the first one makes you feel robbed & raped of your ideals and dreams of what the marriage was supposed to signify and substantiate about you as a person. What I discovered through my writing was that I was destined to make this mistake because I lacked insight, and therefor ignored the circumstances that inevitably caused me to go through the very thing I never thought I would.
  I sum it up as a consequence of circumstance. And, ultimately, it was simply that.
  If he was unfaithful though- then he’s just an *******, and makes the rest of us ‘real’ men look bad.
  
  If you’re still interested in reading an excerpt from my book, let me know. It won’t undo what’s been done, but it might give comfort in knowing you’re not the only one.

  Hi Nyx, thanks for your quick reply to my post. I feel for you in your situation. You said you like to write; I’d encourage you to write down your thoughts & feelings- its very medicinal and can often reveal underlying truths that you may not be conscious of. I did it after my divorce, it ultimately revealed many things for me that I’d either ignored, or not realized. I could offer you a page out of my book, I’d you want/need inspiration.

  I hope its not dead! I think shivalry is the ultimate form of respect and admiration towards a woman. Unfortunately, todays youth has little value in the core principles of dominance & common decency.
  I don’t hold a door open for a woman because she’s incapable; I do it because as a man I should! I think, however, men should consider the ‘convictions’ of the woman he’s offering his considerations to, and respect her own sense of self. Nothing in life is ‘cut & dry’; but if you at least show good intent, she should at least respect your effort.
