• How do I stop taking on too much?
  

  Is it important to you that you stay in exactly the same job/field that you are in now? If you do plan to stay there, its it truly possible for you to reasonably reduce your responsibilities? In other words, is it just that YOU are demanding too much of YOURSELF, or could it be that the people around you at your job are putting these demands on you? If the pressure is part fo the work environment and not something that you can change, you might want to consider a move — for your sake and the kids’!

  Thanks, fengshuisweetheart! Someone (another source) suggested Follett software (http://www.follettsoftware.com/sub/library_management/). I am testing it now. Has anyone used Follett?
  
  It is important that the program, whatever it is, be able to find at least some information about books by itself (i.e. using ISBN, it will automatically import book info over the internet). I received a suggestion to us the simple Microsoft Access program, but the problem there is that ALL book info must be entered by hand. …I do not want to still be doing this project at this time next year!

  OK, I checked out Microsoft Access. The program IS easy to use, which is great. BUT you have to enter all the book information by hand. That is not realistic in our situation — we have about 2,000 books.
  
  The program I have now — BookCollector, which was designed for libraries — allows you to scan a barcode or enter an ISBN, and it will pull up most of the relevant information over the internet. The problem is editing, accessing, and indexing the information you do collect. In BookCollector, I couldn’t even enter a profile to correct a typo. Disaster!
  
  Does anyone else have a suggestion besides Access?

  Unless she herself resolves her feelings for him, there’s not much anyone else can say to do that will help. Does he love him or not? The age difference is a bit unsettling.
