  Free will. Theoretically, he loves us and hopes we do the right thing, but can’t control us. God didn’t create hatred, murder, jealousy, and such. He created the capacity for it, but we were the ones who actually brought it about, so we are the ones who have to put an end to it as well.

  You’re just ambitious. The thing is, you don’t need to push people around to get what you want. The best way to manipulate people is to be nice to them, befriend them, and use them to pursue your interests. A large, loyal social network will help you reach just about any goal.

  If your girl likes dogs, and you have one, go on a walk with it, then sit down at a park and have a picnic while the dog has a chance to run around (if it’s well behaved).
  
  Movies at home with a homemade meal are a really cute alternative to the traditional date.
  
  Most theme parks are still open this time of year, and they make for a lot of fun (and a lot of contact, since most rides squish you together) but can be pricey.

• What were you doing on this day 9-11-01?
  

  I was in third grade. The fifth graders had apparently already found out, and the teachers were afraid they would tell us, so we were kept in the classroom. We didn’t really know what was going on. The teachers thought that the parents should be the ones to tell us, so they gave us a cryptic reason as to why some kids were going home. When I got home, my mom told me, and I remember not really caring.
  
  Looking back on it, I can’t believe I could be so apathetic about such a devastating event.
