  What I found when I first came out (in case you don’t know what that means, it’s when you’ve been living as if you were straight when you are actually bi or a lesbian and then you stop pretending you’re straight, either just to yourself or to any number of people) anyway, what I found when I first came out is that for many women, or girls, if they’re interested in you, it can mean that they make eye contact in a way that is noticeably different than if they’re not. It’s hard to tell. It’s one of the difficult things to deal with in a society that isn’t accepting. If the society were accepting, it would be ok to just ask, Hey, do you wanta date, or something like that. Not necessarily safe, as things are now.

  Ok, I forgot to add, that the consequences for not coming up with the money are fairly extreme, so doing nothing seems not the best option, but — thanks for playing! (Ok, laughing is an option, and isn’t supposed to suggest that the post wasn’t based on actual circumstances).

  I love polar bears, for beauty and strength, and deer and moose and especially caribou, for grace, and again, strength, but above all, I love parrots. They’re extremely loyal, large hearted and loving, intelligent, funny, and endlessly entertaining. When I was once in the hospital for an extended stay, the staff referred to my African Gray as my “Signifigant Other” !! So funny……

  In no way did I intend to ask for money! In terms of your offer, I live in one room, so I don’t have anywhere for you to stay. But I’m impressed with your generous offer. In the past, I sold my paintings. While I lived in another state for awhile (to help my mom), all of my clients left the area, so I don’t have anyone to whom I can sell at this point even if I could paint. Well, anyway — thanks.

  I have spent a lot of time feeling exactly like you. Exactly. I’ve heard every kind of comment you could hear, including the ones written before my post. So here’s the best response I’ve ever gotten when I’ve said the words you wrote in your post: If you choose to suicide, there’s no changing that. It’s a permanent response to what might be temporary feelings. Might be. Temporary. (I know they’re temporary, but since it might not feel that way to you, I’ll say maybe temporary). When was the last time you felt good? Last week? Yesterday? Two years ago? The point is, once you did feel good, and it’s likely, no I’ll say it’s for sure that you’re going to feel good again. You just don’t know when. But. If you die, you eliminate any and all possibilities for whatever extremely cool things might happen.
  Even if none of this seems helpful, there’s one thing I know for sure is true: You want to live or you wouldn’t have written.
  I bet this is true: You don’t really want to die. What you really want is for the pain to stop. It hurts so bad you are willing, or at least almost willing, to kill the thing feeling it, that is, yourself.
  As far as your circumstances go, they suck. I had the same thing, only it was my mom. School absolutely sucked.
  Do you like to read? Go to a bookstore, find a book that makes you laugh. You’ll have a couple of good hours. If you can’t get there, can you get to a movie? Can’t? Find some way to have a good time. It’s absolutely essential to find some way to have a good time because that is the medicine for having a bad time, right? Trust me, it is. I know. I used to be you.
