Sorry, but I gotta get off of help now. I just checked my download limit and stuff, and as usual, Help is eating it. I have prepaid internet and a really low download limit. Considering my lack of money, I want my remaining 645mb to last for 16 days.

When learning Russian, first thing I did was learn the alphabet. I dont want to learn it transliterated, but Japanese has such random characters.

Its ok about the being anal on grammar thing, I only bother with languages I intend to use, though sometimes my English even stuffs up royally.

I use Baka obaa-san often as a term of jest amongst friends, using it less frequently too.

Russian is a stronger, more defined language. From what I have heard, I wouldn’t say it is sharp. Japanese is precise. English is random.

Some of my most used Japanese is “Baka obasan” at any time. Apparently it means stupid old lady. Also “Eh, zoh des? Skateboardo deska?” which is “Eh, what is that? Is that a skateboard?” I have some fairly useless sayings right there. I cant remember many characters of Japanese, but I do remember a couple.

I read random little snippets of things, make sure I know how to pronounce it and learn to understand its meaning, then use it randomly, but in context. I go to a Russian Orthodox Church, so my current goals are the Divine Liturgy, prayers and songs.

I love the language, it is fantastic, beautiful. Must say, I prefer it to English.

Japanese is pretty cool too. I wanted to learn it, did a bit in school and kind of gave up. I know a few phrases and thats about it.

I am kind of inactive, so I will not be on much. Sorry. This site doesnt hold what it once did for me. You may never see me again after this post now. I’ll try.

I am learning it from a variety of websites and a couple of programs for the comp. Learning very slowly as I am not as disciplined in my studies as I should be. It is for personal reasons, so I fall into old habits of no effort.

Yes, way too late. Your tax return for 2007/08 was due in September at the latest. It has already been rolled out and is just waiting to go into the banks and so on.

Yeah buddy, I am pretty sure you get it.
It is being rolled out this and next month, so next time Centrelink pays you, it should be there.
