  hehe. you’re welcome Devil and thank you! Altho I don’t see it as cool, I see it as a neccessity. Whilst I can feed and home myself, if I have extra cash I think it’s my obligation to pass it on a bit. Without contributing back, society becomes a nasty place. One day I could be in exactly the same position, and I would hope that just one person has the right nature to help me out. If I didn’t have that faith in human kind, I think I’d hate everything and everyone. Staying positive is the key, amd (man I’m full of cliches tonight) to get something out, you gotta put twice as much in.

  Thanks for the invite Devil! I’m really sorry I don’t have time to read through everyone’s post, just want to say, instead of cutting yourself, find another way to release adrenaline, get your heart pumping - do something exhilirating!
  
  For example, do a sky dive, or make a plan to go swimming with dolphins - do it for charity so you can do good for others at the same time! I know it’s easy for others to say “stay positive”, but there’s a reason why they say it!
  
  You need to find an alternative, you obviously know what you’re doing is harmful, seeing as you post here, so channel that frustration and hard attitude towards doing something else. Ooh here’s another idea - Rock climbing!
  
  Basically what I’m saying in a long winded manner is stay active, keep your mind occupied, and your body busy. When you don’t have time to dwell, you’ll find so much more in your life to focus yourself!

  Wow, Bravo Dougie on yet another amazing post! You are a hero, to me anyway!
  
  Ok things that I think I’m good at….
  - being stupidly funny and inappropriate (like a loud fart in a school assembly during quiet time)
  - I make a fabulous lasagne, in fact all food I make seems to be pretty good, I have a fabulous skill in the kitchen, and it’s enjoyable too :D
  - I’m great at cleaning
  - I can sleep for stints of 14 or 15 hours at a time (I think that it’s a great skill :P )
  - I’ve been told I’m easy to get on with and socially.
  
  I see the world as a beautiful place, unfortunately I have a jaded view of so many of the humans that live on this planet. When the wars and hatred and negativity stops, or even if we learn from our past experiences that killing and hate and destruction doesnt actually produce good, then I shall start to view all humans as equally beautiful and inspirational beings. For now though I shall bake a few cakes and go hand them out to strangers in random acts of love!

• Hello all, I’m looking for anyone’s insight.
  

  I use the following categories to help me budget my cash. I take each bill and break it down into weekly costs, and round it up to the closest 10, so that I’m never short of the amount, then I pay the weekly amounts into a bank account I have solely for paying bill, which helps me not spend the money! I have 2 accounts in total. One for the bills, and the other for food, entertainment, clothes, etc. I also have a saving account. Any money that’s left over after I’ve budgeted for the week is paid into that account, so if I ever need cash, I have a 3rd reserve without actually dipping into the money saved for bills.
  
  - rent
  - water bills
  - gas bills
  - electricity bills
  - council tax
  - mobile phone (cell phone) costs
  - landline phone and internet
  - television license/cable costs
  - travel costs (insurance for car, petrol, mot, road tax, etc etc if you have a car, or the cost of bus passes or rail tickets)
  - basic food costs (it’s my approximate weekly cost of food shopping)
  - entertainment budget (I allow myself the cost of 1 night out a week at approx £40 a night and the cost of getting a takeaway once every 2 weeks)
  - clothes budget
  
  
  I think that’s everything. If I can think of anything else I budget for, I’ll add it on!
  
  Good luck with moving, your father is right to make you think about a budget, if you can learn how to spend your money well now, then when you’re earning, you can live comfortably off a budget, and still save a lot of money. You’ll thank him when you can afford 2 holidays a year because he made you budget!
