People can only go by the outside. You do too. But when you know you have a friend who accepts you as you are you can share some of the deeper things you feel. That is a hard place to be. I was there myself. Adjust your life to fit your income (Perhaps disability pension?) and your illness and future prospects for your income. Sell things off. Love is a little overrated. Chill. Soon you will be the best catch. Concentrate on skills and education and provision. Read books instead of watch tv. Companionship is achievable between friends and will train you to not be too isolated. Some drop other friends when they find a mate this is not healthy. Learn not to drink so much next time. It’s not an excuse but everyone does silly stuff when they drink too much. People may forget in time, when the next story comes along.

Let yourself heal alone. Go through all the memories and breath forgivness to the perpetrator and love for yourself into them. Do not blame yourself for the first, second, third or fourth incident. You are a worthwhile person and deserve a worthwhile person. When you meet a new man don’t burst out about the past. Begin new and healed and well. Until you are healed you will gravitate toward those men who are not good for you. Look around you for true men role models of what you desire. Write down a list of required characteristics the next man should have. Also build up your life to be a blessing to him too. Practice cooking etc. You may eventually share your past perhaps before marriage but now in a recovered way.
