There isn’t much I can say to ease the pain you must be feeling. I’m reminded of the saying, coined by a Persian princess at the request of her father. He wanted something that would always be appropriate, so she said, “This, too, shall pass.” If you think about it, it is quite encouraging and positive. Life goes on, no matter what happens. The pain you feel now may seem unending, but, over time, it will be less and less. You’re a beautiful woman, who is obviously intelligent, talented, and ambitious. I do not make a habit of offering advice; it can be so wrong, at times. However, there is one thing of which I am certain: There is someone who you are meant to be with, who fits you like a glove, whose soul is a mirror to your own. That is how the universe is structured. For positive there is negative, right/left, up/down, for a lock there is a key. The universe must be balanced or it would not exist. So, find the one who balances you. You don’t have to call it marriage; that’s up to you. Just do not fall into the trap of cynicism, or you will never be happy.
