I think everyn goes through faith crises at times. I believe that God allows us the choice to believe or not. If He spelled out something in the stars or “proved” His existence, would you really have a choice in the matter? Science is about proof, faith is about belief. Good luck on your quest.

i took a couple of years off after undergrad. Some friends and I went to alaska and lived in a teepee working in the fish industry. It was a blast and i wouldnt trade that experience but I eventually realized I had to go back to school to move on.

yeah, I usually only flip back between a few channels. I try to avoid the bullshit, but there’s alot of it on TV.

At least your recognizing why your attracted to abusive relationships. Get some counseling, it can help hopefully. The pain is going to be there no matter what unfortunately, but what would it mean if you didn’t feel any pain.

I guess two questions to ask would be: (for him) What is impeding him from being ready to marry? (for you) are you willing to stay in a relationship that isn’t a marriage?

I’d keep it simple with such broad parameters. Pick someone you know (mom, boyfriend, bff, whoever) then you can interview them profile their history, likes, dislikes, goals, future plans, personality and you don’t have to go to the library. Plus it may be fun to learn new things about someone you know.

sometimes the cutting is a distraction for the pain inside or depression. Please get some counseling to learn better ways to cope and handle the pain. A temporary fix can be to hold a piece of ice in your hand. It can hurt but not be damaging. when it goes numb switch to the other hand.
