He tried to be nice but there was something lacking before i can talk. To be honest, i felt that he wanted me to talk fast so he’d get to see his other clients! crazy i know but i felt rejected.

Well i know you are busy, thanks for talking to me. See you.

And welcome to help.com. :)

The last of my visit was he said he was going to meet me the next Thursday and i just phoned the secretary i could not make it.

He wanted me to feel comfortable and then later on he asked me series of questions i was not ready to disclose. And when i said i was not ready yet he said something like ’so what are you here for?’

Gaaahhh!

I just wanted to have someone close to me so i thought psy people are sensitive to human needs and comfort.

:) I dont think were trained to be that way but it is inherent in the nature of the relationship. You are the one that is vulnerable by opening up while the psychologist is trained not to disclose anything personal. So it makes the relationship pretty one sided. But I always tell people they need to feel comfortable with me and if not let me know and I can make a referral. I would talk with your psych about how you are feeling. It may lead to other issues.

Okay so i better answer this in your shout so others could answer to your post rather let them see you and me talking about another thing.

Anyway, i have been talking to a psy for some time but i have stopped since last month. But we only had a four or five sessions because he always ends up pissing me off.

I have an online friend who tells me the same thing about their psychologist.

I want to go back to him because i have been sad the past few weeks (up and down mood) but i am having doubts if i will.

So my question is…are all psychologists trained to be a little intimidating?

When you get a green bar across the top of the screen for a new reply on a post, it is just telling you that someone has just replied to the post. If you click on the link, it will take you to the original post and you have to scroll down and see what the new reply is. I hope that answers your question.
