  You are 5 years older than me and you have all this spare time coming up? Get out and use it! I’m so envious. My children have grown and the last one is about to leave home. Then I’ll be really lonely, but have no choice about it.
  
  To help fill the void, I get outdoors into the bush and mountains. I have walked miles amongst our mountains, and recently returned from a trip to Nepal. Hoping to do another one in a couple of years if I can afford it. Next month I’m going on a rafting trip for 3-4 days.
  
  Because I’m on my own, I have to get out and do things, because sitting around is just too depressing. Sometimes I have so much on my plate, I think I’m nuts. I work full time and get in the door at 6.30 every night. Very hard work and I seldom go out during the week because I’m so tired. So I really need my escapes of adventure.
  
  All of my friends are younger than me actually (average about 10 years younger). I don’t want to seize up (though having an office job - is not good prevention lol). I won’t say that I feel old, because I don’t want to be old (even if I do feel old). I remind my kids that they are lucky to have a young Mum.
  
  Taking one day at a time, is a good key. Sometimes you have to create things. By getting active - you’ll be more busy and won’t have time to worry about dying, because you’ll be too busy trying to make your life better.
  
  I do have a good faith in God (Christian), but yes, sometimes the thought of dying makes me shudder. I remind myself how wonderful the world and all its creation is and it helps me remember that there is a wonderful all powerful God to trust in.

  Well, to get friends, you have to be one. Start with somebody who you think obviously needs a friend - more than you do. I bet they’d be delighted having someone offer to be friends with them.
  
  Another thing I do when lonely and need friends around, is to arrange something myself, and invite them to it. Sometimes it’s just out for coffee, out to the mall, and asking someone to come with you to the pictures.
  For starters - to get a friend … be one.

  Awwwww… I just love my cats and know they can be a big part in your life. Are you allowed to get a new kitten? I have found that’s the best way to brighten things up. (We always get a new cat if we lose one).

  You can little night-lights that are just very dim lights that will plug in. Designed for children, and also for very dark areas that need a bit of light, so should be easy to find them. Maybe a nursey, or simple electrical shop.

  I’d save copies of it, from within the programme itself. If it is worrying you, then threaten him with the police action. Go there to them if it is concerning you.
  
  You can easily block him, if he is just being a nuisance - though it may pay to have some it it backed up in copies, just for possible reference in the future if needed.
