  You have to try to get him to a doctor for a check up and a discussion about the way he is treating his body and mind. Try to get some of his friends to help you with this.
  Also take Qzzzzz’s advice, sometimes the school counselor can work wonders.
  If this won’t work try and get him (with the advice of your doctor) to take some health supplements.
