I felt like I was pretty average for a very long time… Then I met a group of very supportive friends who helped to yank me out of my shell. I started doing things that I never thought I could before, and I gained a lot of self esteem. I would suggest grabbing some friends and trying something new… You could volunteer somewhere, or go on a road trip, try to learn a new language, ask a girl out on a date… etc.
Another thing to do to boost self esteem is to go somewhere by yourself. I went snowboarding by myself for the first time (I was 17 and very lonely), and managed to make a lot of new friends on the mountain.
Teaching yourself something new doesn’t necessarily require an amazing talent, it can build off of the ones you already have, and never tried to use before.
Um, he just stopped sending me e-mails about a week or two ago. He said he would come to my house and I was NOT ok with that! So I sent him a final e-mail in which I made it clear that I would get the police involved if he tried to contact me again. It’s really sad it had to come to that, but I’m glad it’s over.
Thank you so much for asking though! That was really thoughtful of you. I’d be glad to help you if you have ny problems in the future. - written 1 month ago
I’m just fed up with my minimum wage job, my absence of health insurance, THE FAKE PLASTIC WORLD WE LIVE IN. I tired of thinking I am a degenerate slim scum from divorced parents that didn’t ever find love. How about you though? WE AS PEOPLE should listen to each other and try to help each other while being helped.
Haha, I like your style! And I agree, people should listen to each other, that’s why I’m here. I recently found out about this book, that talks about how children of divorced parents grow up more hard-working, determined, and stronger than other kids. There’s hope for us, and we’re not alone. - written 2 months, 3 weeks ago
It will… jeez, I’ve been where you are so many times. My only advice is to hang in there, trust me, it will get better. - written 2 months, 3 weeks ago
