  I can’t tell you guys how much all this means to me. I’ve never felt like anyone cared enough to get involved and now there are so many of you; it’s really inspiring. I just wanted to make one thing clear, though… I don’t have health insurance. I did and in a way technically I still do/will once I get it figured out, because they shouldn’t have cancelled it. But my other point is that I don’t want to take antidepressants because I’ve done that once before and I’m sure they’re new and improved now, but I have much more confidence in myself than that; I’m positive I can make this change. Actually, if anyone here knew me at all from the beginning and could see me now, you would see a remarkable change in me due to the support and ingight I’ve gotten from all you here and also the independence alone has given me a lot more perspective on my life in general and the significance of the situation I’m in. I know this is just a bump in the road, and I know it will very likely be just a vague memory in a year or two, but it could also very well change my life for the better, even for just a little while. I do see where it went wrong, I see exactly what happened: If I had never worried so much and tried so hard, it wouldn’t have even reached this point in the first place, so it’s actually some pretty intense irony. The relationship would have been fine if I hadn’t ever tried to make it “fine” or “perfect” because I know, better than most, that perfect is impossible. But I also just got a little out of my head for a while there and I’m back to earth now and I’m completely happy with the changes that have been made. I love the freedom from my “serious” relationship and the chance for my boyfriend and I to miss each other because it’s been a few days, and in general I love the fresh-ness (if that’s a word) of what’s happened. I was really scared, at first, for my boyfriend and I to take time apart but now I’ve grown to not only accept the idea, but I prefer it. What I need some support on is basically how to balance the two because I’ve never done that before and the ice is still thin so I’m not sure how this is going to work. But I do have a lot of faith in myself and I know for a fact that no matter what happens in the end, I’ll be much stronger because of it. What I’ve forgotten to mention is that I was in a 4-year relationship before and had actually been engaged and got a house with the guy and had to deal with this all before, so in a way it’s just a flick on the nose. But… this time around, I’ll admit, it’s harder because for one, it’s the feeling of repeated failure, plus it just doesn’t feel the way it did at the end of the last relationship; I really felt like that one was done, too, even though it broke my heart, I knew deep down it was a good decision… but this one feels like it’s incomplete and I just can’t help my gut instinct to try to keep him in my life a little longer. I just hope you all can understand and also forgive me for how long this was… I didn’t mean to keep writing. Thanks again to everybody… you’ve been better friends than the ones I have.

I know it’s still there because when he gets around me, he’s sweet and I can tell he doesn’t want to hurt me, but all he ever sees is me stressing and crying. Basically, when my car broke down and ourbest friend died, life got turned upside down and my boyfriend and I both lost our jobs because of it. Since then we’ve been too stressed to focus on the relationship and its gone to crap. Now I cry at the drop of a hat; I take everything he says personally and take full responsibility when stuff goes wrong so then I get stressed and feel pressured to be and do everything perfectly and then it’s just this crazy psycho cycle all over again. He’s tried to leave a couple times because he says he just can’t take it anymore, but he loves me a lot and it’s been over a year and we may be young and we may not end up together forever, but we were supposed to have a lot of fun and we never got to because we tried to support each other and get on our feet and get a place together, but everything fell through.Now neither of our families want us living at the other’s house until we have steady jobs (which makes perfect sense). So he’s at his place and I’m at mine and we agreed to start over like it’s brand new and just see eachother a few times a week, but then that night AND the next day, I cried again over spilling something and getting worried he would get mad at me for it. The problem is, I’ve promised him a bunch of times I’ll change and I’ll quit crying and I’ve “finally realized what I have to do” and then I don’t do it. So NOW that I actually, truly, finally can control my tears, he’s not sure if he wants to see me again and he said earlier “I’m going to go see someone else later” and when I asked what that meant, he said “Well…” and I said “What, another girl?” and he said “I don’t know, man…”. That scares the hell out of me. All this little while, he’s been saying he doesn’t want to be in this relationship but he wants to be with me and he’s not thinking about anyone else, and when he says it I can tell he means it. Now, when he said that, I could tell he was kind trying not to hurt my feelings, which means he may be serious. I need to know how to get him to hold off on checking out other girls and see me for the new independent person I’ve become and remember all the things he loved about me in the first place because we’re JUST NOT FINISHED! I know this, and I can tell he feels it, too, he’s just confused on what he wants. So basically, I need to know from a guy’s (or an enlightened female’s) point of view and experience, what can I do to trigger those original feelings of attraction and remind him how much more I can offer him and how much we can do for eachother. We make eachother feel really good when we’re together, I just pushed him away being so emotional all the time, so I know I have to show him my logical, intelligent, charismatic side, but I also need to express to him how important it is to me that he doesn’t give up on me yet.
