  it sounds like you have a lot going for you. Just keep trying hard at art, maybe branch out a little bit, try some different forms of art like drawing or painting and you’ll gain that little bit of extra confidence you want.

  Re: Advice for keeping cool when angry or upset.
  
  You have to show those emotions before they get out of control. Release your anger in an appropriate fashion before they get out of control. It’s important to show your emotions before they become over whelming. If we show our emotions we take control of them, if we keep them locked in our heart, they control us. There’s no trick to keeping cool, just let out your emotions before they over whelm you. You’ll find it was easier to deal with your emotions when you, and everybody around you knows what you’re feeling.
  
  As for dealing with stress, find a hobby. Everybody has things that they need to do. It’s important to have something to get into when you need to take a break from the stress of everyday life. I dance, play chess, anything that reminds me that I’m in control of my own time and nobody else is. That’s the biggest thing for me. I need to feel like I’m in control of my life. When I feel in control of my life, all my stress seems a lot easier to manage.

  Practice Practice Practice. If you practice, you’ll trust yourself no matter what you’re feeling. Practice so much that whatever you’re doing feels automatic. Then, when it’s time to go, it will be easy.
  
  But that’s just general advice. Listen to the posts before, some of them have been through exactly what you’re going through. They gave some really helpful hints that you should take to heart.

• WHO HAS THE CONFIDENCE TO BE DIFFRENT?
  

  Like Ditzy said, you gotta try things and you’ll build confidence. I tried chess and squash and whenever I’m feeling like I can’t do something, I look back at what I have done and I re-evaluate my ability.
  
  Self-esteem is something different, but related. Try expressing yourself in person, in private, in groups, in one on ones. Express your emotions. If you let people know how you feel, you’ll earn their respect and more importantly, you’ll earn your own respect. That’ll make you feel better about yourself because you’ll know that no matter how you feel, you can let people know and turn it into something positive. As I’ve been told be countless professional advice givers, show your emotions openly and you’ll feel better about yourself. and you know what, it’s true!
  
  If you express yourself and build some confidence, choosing the clothes you want or the hairstyle you like will be as easy as tying your shoes.
