That’s too bad, there’s nothing like a good snow storm.
Gotta go, sedatives are taking effect…….

I agree with Thargor, there’s no worse turn off then hearing from someone that their friend likes you, just go up and say what’s in your heart and get turned down or not, doesn’t matter, at least you did something about your feelings!

2006-12-08 19:06:43 on dear..
I don’t know what to say, or what you should do, but I feel your pain and really, REALLY hope that things will work out, things usually do. If it’s meant to be, then you two will be together in the end, if not someone else will come along, a really awesome skater boy who’ll live just to be around you forever.
2006-11-28 18:03:10 on at what age did you have your first boyfriend or g
Depends on the definition of boyfriend… ha! I had a semi-serious relationship at 17, but my first REAL boyfriend was at 19/20
2006-11-28 17:57:48 on should a girl ask a guy out
“Should” is a tricky word. Feminists would say girls should…. I would say, do with what your comfortable. I’m not comfortable asking guys out, so I don’t. (Maybe that’s why I’m single, ha!) I still think we’re living in an age when guys should do most of the asking out :)
2006-11-27 16:45:43 on does anyone know the chemical formula for stronyium ?
Sr and I…. look at what family they’re in to find out what charge they acquire as ions - elements on the left of the periodic table get positive charges, elements on the right get negative charges, then cross the numbers over:
for example, hydrogen and oxygen:
they form ions: H1+ and O2-
cross over to get the molecule they form: H2O
see if that helps for your question…. let me know if you need more clarification

2006-11-27 16:35:51 on Shortness of Breath…
Getting anxious during or after a speech or presentation is perfectly normal. I know when I was in high school I would never write my notes on a regular piece of paper - I used cards instead - because the paper would show how much I was shaking. In passing people on the street you may be slightly anxious about what they might say to you or even hurt you. This is normal too, we value others’ judgements of ourselves, especially our peers.
The symptoms you have are part of a completely normal human response, it’s a good one too (though it doesn’t always feel like it) but it shows that your fight or flight response is working. Your flight or fight response (sympathetic nervous system) prepares you for potential danger, your heart speeds up to get blood to your muscles, your palms and feet sweat to be able to grip things to fight or to run away, your pupils dilate to see better, your breathing rate speeds up to get more oxygen to your muscles.
You may want to try taking a couple deep breaths when you notice yourself getting a bit anxious. Close your eyes or just concentrate on something specific to get your mind away from it. When I get nervous around people, I just take a moment to concentrate on who I am, and that I like me no matter what other people think.

Think about what kind of energy conversion happens as something falls, as water turns into steam… then is converted into drops on the bathroom mirror…
