  Thank you all for all your comments & support, I am new on this site and really appreciate the understanding that has been given to me.
  Just hearing kinda the same thing from everyone about really trying to let go and let him try to make it on his own, and not enabling him really helps to reasure me that, that is what I need to do…Although it is and will be hard and I am not going to say that I still won’t be there for him, I will be as long as he is doing what he needs to do.
  He just started a program today & all I can do is pray that it helps him.
  
  Again thank you, I’m sure I’ll be back needing more guideness with him but in the meantime I will try to see if I can return the favor and support someone else :)

• Am feeling very lost and hopeless lately.
  

  Break-ups are never easy, one thing you can tell yourself is that everything happens for a reason. If you are meant to be together then you will get back together.
  Sometimes it takes a break-up to make you or him realize what you had. Or maybe it was the best thing, what kind of problems did you have, that may have caused the breakup ?? Was it the age difference ?
  One thing you can do is to try to keep yourself busy, with friends or work or get a hobby. Don’t sit & dwell on the why’s.
  Let go let god !!

  Thank you, I know I am not the only one going thru tough times with my son and I know there are so many people going thru similar situations or worse.
  I have gone to Al-Anon a few years ago because my husband is an alcoholic (he has been sober for 8 months!) You are so right it does help, I just couldn’t find the right group to go too.
  It just feels like WE are the ones living on the edge !! not knowing from one day to the next what they will do.
  I just don’t want to give up on him ! I keep praying that he will find the help that he needs..(he has about a 4th grade reading level !!) and very low self-exteme
  the only thing he has is his looks…until people realize his other problems.
  
  He has court today for reckless driving which he totaled his car then passed out after the accident & then believe it or not the police couldn’t find him..(he was 25-30 feet from the car & the police sent a police dog after him which bit him on his head & left for arm very badly, he actually needed 2 staples in his head !! and now has a $15,000 hospital bill !!! It is crazy !!! At the hospital they kept him because he had air bubbles in his lung & trachea !!
  HE had passed out!! which he has a history of blacking out !!!
  He will see the police report today & see if he has a civil suite.
  I don’t know how much more I can take !!!

  I know I really have to let go and let god !!
  I tell myself that all the time, there is only so much I or anyone else can do.
  but it is still hard to deal with.
