We have just got back from gold prospecting in 49er country and visiting Yosemite national park. Was so beautiful. Even though we came back with no gold, we had a wonderful time. End of the month we are heading to Colorado to visit with our fellow helper Jojo. Remember her? We are so glad to hear your voice again. See you around!

Hello, our fuzzy friend! How the hell have you been!

Thanks for the kind words about my time as a moderator. And yes, my new job starts on Monday. I’m going to be a life and health insurance agent. Quite a change! Anyhow, I might be scarce for the first 90 days as I work to prove my worth, but I won’t be completely gone from Help.com. I like many of the people here, such as yourself, so I’ll definitely be checking back occassionally.

I love it! Just roaring laughing. Well, Santa knows where you are anyway–he’s forgiven you I’m sure because you are kind and living to most people and helpful and love people. They don’t likely have fireplaces in the Bahamas but hang your sock at the end of your bed.

That is the worst part… It’s sad that someone could hurt a child let a lone there own child…

Cool!! It was abuse! I agree with that whole-heartedly. Emotional abuse is something most guys dont even see themselves doing. I think they both just gave up and need a good kick in the butt to jumpstart thier relationship! No harm, no foul!

Ah! Venting is fine. Personally, I get by without imploding because I manage to keep from feeling personally responsible for people. It’s not the same as not caring. It’s just that I have a worldview where I think that people need the freedom to be able to fail. There’s a value in every struggle and ultimately people who come to Help.com are responsible for using our advice to fix their lives for themselves. I never think I can fix things for them. I hope that doesn’t sound harsh. It’s more about merecognizing personal boundaries for how much I can help.

Im sorry if I came across too rough on you in “Armywifes” post. I understood where you were coming from, but felt you (or I ) didnt have enough info to make the call for her to run. In a marriage situation my first advise is too always, always seek help. I only ever tell someone to leave as a last desperate act to get thier spouse to see the error in thier ways. Call me old fashioned, but I believe that marriage is sacred and shouldnt be tossed aside too easily.
