Last Steps To Heaven
At first I was afraid to die,
but in your arms, lord, I,ll no longer cry.
This life on earth has been my living Hell,
now I am waiting to ring Heavens bell.
There are parts of my life I would give anything to change
However, God’s plan we can not rearrange.
So, when Jesus calls for me I would not like for my loved ones to grieve,
for I will finally be at peace and know that I am ready to leave.
Remember me only with love.
I will be waiting for them in our life above.
I know, since I have opened my heart to Jesus, I have been forgiven for my sin.
I can not wait to see my dad or hold my grand baby again.
All the stairs of life I have climbed, now there are only seven.
Open the doors Lord as I walk the last stairs to Heaven.
