well okay, lets see if anyone actually helps:
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, a Master’s Degree in Climate Risks and Environmental Impact and very much to offer as a scientist, chemist, and meteorologist. I expect to be exposed to new methods researching and working practices in Canada, improve my English, acquire some contacts, and use my education to excel professionally and morally.
My professional career began in 2006. I was awarded with a research grant in San Carlos Clinical Hospital by its Biomedical Research Foundation. After a few months, in December 2006, I was offered a post as an environment and laboratory manager for “ENDESA GENERACIÓN” in Compostilla II Power Plant, in Ponferrada. I accepted the position, which I still hold today, since it was a nice post and I needed to gain professional experience.
My job entails leadership, a great deal of responsibility and a wide knowledge of industrial and environmental chemistry as well as the installation. While this job is an enriching and favorable experience, it has, somehow, become monotonous. Recently, the urge to researching, continue my education and internationalize my career, has become stronger, and the Master in Environmental Toxicology you offer with its co-op option combines all of this concerns.
Regarding to the program I plan to carry out, I have chosen it for three main reasons. Firstly, Environmental toxicology is undergoing an unprecedented growth, has very good labor perspectives, it is transversal to my academic past focused on environmental impact and my profession as an industrial chemist, and it is very attractive to me because of its important field and laboratory workload. The second reason is my personal concern for the environment and my commitment to its conservation. To know with more precision than most of people the troubles we are about to face, gives no other option than “thinking globally and acting locally”. The third reason is the prestige of the Simon Fraser University and its location in beautiful British Columbia, an enviable destination for a nature lover, where I also have personal reasons to move to.
I am aware that, within the economic and labor situation we are going through, it is risky to abandon my position. However, if I am admitted in this program, the Direction of the Power Plant would have no objection for me to be on unpaid leave and come back with further studies. This safe option has enabled me to apply for this program.
I am also conscious that my calculated undergraduate CGPA might result a little bit bellow the minimum required for admission but I am positive that the fact of having a Master’s Degree in which I do satisfy that requirement and my professional experience will be considered as enough background to be able to complete the program successfully. However if you decide I need to complete some extra courses I am willing and hope to be able to attend to those courses while in MET program.
Apart from my academic and professional career, I have a creative side. I have been playing the guitar since I was seven, have also learnt to play other instruments and have been part of many bands and orchestras. I hope to be surrounded by and become an active part of the emergent Canadian musical scene during my stay.
I would welcome this opportunity and I am sure that this would be one of the most important vital experiences at the professional, academic and personal levels, and clearly positive. In advance, I thank you for your consideration and look forward to meeting with you in the near future. Apart from the required documents I will be glad to send any further information required.

i dont know about institutionalizing yourself, but if youre concerned, you should see a therapist. besides, you obviously have problems with your mom anyway, which a therapist could help with too.
