You just need to stop being so damn hard on yourself.I know im a hypocrite and i know its easier said than done. You deserve happiness and i want you to find it.
I dont know why that is either. The people in my life are so optimistic and happy its actually sickening. And they get frustrated with me so easily. All i know is when i logged in tonight i was incredibly upset but talking with you has made me feel better.
Life sucks. My life has been nothing but a series of mistakes and regret.I cant remember what its like to be truly happy.I know how much it hurts to be so negative. Its nice to know theres someone who thinks like me but i also hate that you feel it ya know.
Hey you:) You are way too hard on yourself. You sound so much like me its actually heartbreaking. You deserve to be happy and you deserve to be loved flaws and all.No perfection required;)
Over time, the more we look, the more we find - they are directly proportional.
the universe is, in my arrogant opinion, effectively infinitely complicated.
my minds ability to understand stuff is limited.
So…
There can never be a model of the universe that is both understandable and correct.
“there is no such thing as a correct model, just a useful one”
The mass comes from your perceiving it? Universe is defined by you as everything? It pops in from a parallel dimension? Higgs particle interesting?
that said, the real answer is “I don’t know” but first cause arguments are always interesting.
I’m wired, so the above doesn’t flow, but there you go :-)
Well why don’t you check out the website. I’m sure they could use someone of your skill set. That is, if your interested. Maybe your happy with our current state of affairs. That’s your right, and I can’t take that away from you.
Perhaps you should think some more on that. In my eyes that would probably happen within the next 20 to 30 years.
What do you do in construction? I worked in framing for a while, I’m assuming that’s what you do. Though, are you running the business, the foreman, or just a framer?
With the way system is now, robots overtaking the workforce would be at least ten years away. And with the pressure of corporations and governments, it’ll probably be twice that.
However, when such things are possible, who’s to say the government and greedy will still want the people around? Once there are robots that can outperform people on a mass scale, what power does the people have left against oppressors?
It truly is a terrifying scenario. I really doubt that the truly rich and powerful ruling class will give up their position. I have no clue what will happen.
Nah, with enough computer programmers, we can achieve pretty intelligible and capable robots. Have you seen the ones that are in development right now?
This ones from a Hanson robotics and was built in 2005 2006. It’s going to a university though, and isn’t designed to be on the market. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZNRyO…
That’s a big if though. There already are a lot of investors in the robotics industry. But they’re also very cautious not to upset the balance of the working and unemployed.
I think the pervading concept is that in a system with planned obsolescence as a fundamental process, the full potential of technology will never be fully accessible to the public. If enough money was put into robots, they could right now take over the work force in a few years. But we won’t do that, because the monetary system is dependent upon the sweat off our backs.
I think it’s smart that they haven’t laid out any plan yet. It allows for all the intelligent people who will subscribe to make their contributions to a better society.
Well your right about all that. I’m not sure how they’re resource economy will work, and I’m pretty sure they haven’t figured that out yet. Economical systems are complex theories and need to be well formulated. As I said, the main priority right now, is awareness of the problems and consequences of failure to act. The plans and solutions are being formulated as we speak.
They talk about delegating decisions to computers. I think that would be a founding part of their resource economy, in that the computers would determine what resources are needed and desired for each city, and if there were other cities, trade would be among them to acquire the proper quantities and distribution.
However, our system is still very much monetary, and there really is nothing we can do about that. We have no choice but to subscribe to that system, and so, that’s going to have to be a part of this project for at least ten years, if not more.
I’m sorry if it was more than you expected. It was an hour and a half. Maybe I’ll edit the post to add that. I did warn you, by saying that many will have understood much and said you could skip parts if you want to. I just don’t the people who don’t understand to skip through half and miss the founding concepts.
Tell me what you thought about the presentation? Do you think this organization might be corrupt at the heart too?
After doing more research it seems possible, but not probable. Technically I’d say it’s also propaganda, but there are good forms of propaganda. This one exemplifies that, in my opinion.
Hi Grim. You don’t know me, but I thought you could help me. I have a question that I don’t want to post on the site, so I saw you and you look very intelligent. So, I decided to shout you and ask the question. Here it is: Why do they call other countries third world countries. Thanks. Just shout me back. I put you on my friends list. I hope you’ll except.
