• Only four days left until Christmas, and I still can’t find a way to feed my son.
  

  I am on full, permanent disability. I get SSI, but my car broke down and cost me $800 to get fixed. I found a food bank, but they’re overwhelmed right now, due to so many people being out of work. I am not physically able to go to the soup kitchens on a regular basis. I’ll be OK once I get caught up. It took everything we had just to pay the rent and utilities. We cut out anything we could live without, like cable, newspaper, etc. We’re used to living on a small, fixed income, but when the car broke down, it really put us behind. It’s just a matter of getting through until my SSI comes. I’m just venting right now. It’s just the idea of Christmas coming and knowing that we won’t even have any food. We can live without presents, but hearing your child say “I’m hungry”, and not being able to do anything about it is depressing. We just have to hang in there for another week.

  If it’s any help, skinny people usually have fewer medical problems than others. Just be careful when you get to your 30’s and 40’s that you get enough calcium, or you could end up with ostioperosis. I am 48, didn’t get my periods until almost 18, and never got any boobs. Still, I fell in love, got married, and had a beautiful baby boy. My husband looked beyond the “cover” and loved ME! He wasn’t a freak or a geek or a nerd, either. He was a very handsome, strong, hard working guy who got along with most people. He passed away frim a heart attack 11 years ago when our son was only two, but he was a great husband and father. Be true to who you are. It may take longer to find a great guy, since most men seem to only notice girls with great figures, but there are exceptions. There are always implants, too, if you can afford them and it bothers you that much. I could never afford them, and don’t think I would have gotten them even if I could. I don’t know why God made me the way he did, but I do know this…My husband loved me for who I was, not for what I look like. Beautiful, sexy girls can find men any time they want, but they don’t really know if the guy likes them for who they are, or for what they look like. If you’re not so good looking or sexy and a guy likes you, you know he really likes YOU, and not just your body. You may have a harder time finding a great guy, but when you do, you’ll know he really likes YOU. That makes it way more special.

  I have felt very alone, too, for a long time. I try to look at the positive things in my life, and try to remember that there are others out there that are way worse off than I am, and sometimes it helps. At least for a little while. Most of the time, I just struggle to get through the day. If you need to talk, I can listen. Maybe just having someone to talk to will help.
